The same for me, the battle starts just fine. Once soldiers start fighting and killing the FPS drops to 1.
My suspicions: Related to AI retreating movement or some listener to kill event.

Edit: Just restarted the game and entered te same huge battle and performance was good. I was playing for a few hours, maybe memory leak?

Same here. GPU ussage goes down to 0-3% and i get 1 frame every few second. like the rest of you, after the armies have clashed, totally fine before 1.3.
 
this is a fix for cpu`s using virtual cores (multithreaded). Works way better for me now. Apparently no one from taleworlds bothered to make the game use virtual cores as well, it just uses the physical ones...
 
Somehow, while in a battle i get like 20 fps + stutters for 1 sec each 5 seconds, even in battles with 5v5.

Anyway whenever i kill the whole enemy party, whatever its size is, the game runs smooth, everybody is cheering, the victory screen is popping out and everything works fine...
 
Latest hotfix appears to have solved the issue so far.

Okay after playing a lot more today, it seems the hotfix has mostly fixed the issue for me, but in certain large battles or sieges, GPU utilization still goes to near zero and the game becomes nearly unplayable or freezes entirely. Most of the time things are running as well or better for me than they were in 1.2, but in the very largest battles, especially when there are multiple waves of units retreating and reinforcing, something seems to go wrong.
 
Sorry for your inconvenience. We have found a performance issue about fleeing agents in the 1.3.0 beta branch which can reduce the FPS dramatically. We are hoping to fix it and send it as soon as possible. Thanks for your feedback.

I suspect the same, my experience matches yours exactly.

Now, I am playing ver e1.3.1. Obviously, the the battle on the world map is better than before, but, i find the problem is still unsolved in the siege battle. It almost the same as the problem i described about the world map battle.
