In Progress [Beta1.3.0]Battle Performece become worse after update to 1.3.0

The same PC, the same option, the same save file, in Beta1.3.0, the battle of 400VS400 , battle Size 500. But! the performece in battle was very very bad, play as just like 1 frame/seconds!!! It almost can not play anymore. And, i tried the little size battle, which like 400 vs 10, it also have some stuck.

Totally, the performece is much worse the 1.2.0, I have return the version back to 1.2.0 for me to continue the game.
 
Addtionally, i see that the stuck happened at the time when the troops be killed, the more troops be killed in the shorter time, the game would be the more stuck!

Yes same for me. It's when the melee start like you said, at the begining it's just fine but when the troops start the fight it's unplayable until the end battle screen.
 
I'm having exactly the same issue here on beta 1.3
I've been running the game silky smooth since day 1 and every setting on max with no fps drop what so ever till 1.2
Once I updated to 1.3 I have this same issue like OP once the battle start every thing is fine but once my troops reach the enemy and the melee starts its then that the whole battle becomes a slide show.
It doesn't matter how many I'm up against it happened against an army of 270 men vs my troops of 517 and also up against only 10 looters so numbers are irrelevant its only when melee starts.
1.2 was like butter so I hope whatever the devs had altered regarding performance is replaced again.
I tried with mods disabled and enabled no difference
My setup:
i7 4790 @5ghz
Rtx 2080 super ultra
32 GB ram
SSD 512 gb
 
I have the Same issue, and tested with low Details, small number of Corpse und different other options, nothing helpd.
Before the 1.3.0beta Patch, i have no significant Performance issues, now it's unplayable and the Game Crashes, if i load with the 1.2.0 Version the Savegame.

What i see, is that the RAM goes fuller while the Battle, eventualy a Memory-Leak?
 
Yes same for me. It's when the melee start like you said, at the begining it's just fine but when the troops start the fight it's unplayable until the end battle screen.

When the swarms collide it gets real bad. In last beta game would often hang up just after loading in. Troop models and textures popping in and ai pathing I think would bog down system, sometimes to single digits, then clear up. This hang time early on seems slightly less? Now I am getting single digit fps when swarms collide and melee starts. Graphic performance all around much worse than before on my setup.

Edit: I reverted to 1.2 and performance is back to normal.

On 1.2 everything runs well at very high settings. On Beta 1.3 even at very low settings, GPU utilization and fps quickly go down nearly to zero once the fighting gets heavy in a large battle and remain that way until the victory notification goes through. In my battle, the enemy had large numbers of low tier troops that were quickly began retreating after they hit my infantry line; I mention this to add weight to the suggestions by some that it might have something to do with the AI retreating.

Updating to latest Nvidia driver, verifying local files through Steam, and rebooting system failed to make any difference. Things work as normal when I revert to 1.2.
 
I reported this on a different thread. It has something to do with gpu utilization going to zero in large battles fornsome reason. If you can look see what your gpu usage is at the time or if the fans are spinning at all, mine stop spinning completely.
 
Can confirm that field battles became unplayable at all, since they begin to stutter like hell somewhere in the middle of a fight and the game stays that way until either the fight is over or you retreat your party. Never had anything like this before the 1.3.0 update. The recent hotfix for beta 1.3.0 didn't solve the problem

That`s me... I5 8250 4 core 1.6 ghz, Nvidia GTX 1050 4 gb vRam, 8 GB ddr 4, HDD
Battle is about 100 vs 100
All settings are low except character detail (medium).
This is the hotfix for beta version. The 1.3.0 actually worked well for me, stutters only appeared at battles with more than 450-500 participants and when the enemy retreated, but it wasn`t as bad as what you see in the video.
 
The fps in battles is way better for me on 1.2 than 1.3.

For some reason im getting alot more lag and fps drops in 1.3 battles.
 
it's weird because my cpu doesn't overload, nor does my gpu. they both keep working without issues, but the stuttering, especially during sieges, is horrible. AMD x2700 plus 1060 TI here
 
Getting random spikes in stutter. Happens mostly in large battles. Persists until i end the battle

Latest hotfix appears to have solved the issue so far.

Large battles unplayable, no fps issues or stutters pre 1.3.
 
For me hotfix has not fixed the problem. I'm actually very sad because otherwise 1.3 seems so much better than 1.2. AI is building armies a lot better and is a lot more fun a challenge, and more aggressive. I like it. wish I could play it :sad:

And I can play 1.2 with no problems. run 1000 unit battles with full graphics and no lag.
