Actually its the infantry.
It did not notice any change trying different AI settings. Infantry is the problem. For example you have 20 inf and they got 50, about same level. The moment a few of them die they run away. Happens most with nords. Other factions its not that bad but still i can easily win a 3:1 against me with at top 20 losses. I just killed nords 800 against us 200 with us only losing like 20 and they lost almost everyone.

Its not me killing all those guys, i mostly lead troops and maybe make a charge on some archers in the back
Interesting. There was a possible small error in the morale script, but nothing that should have done this. No difference when special orders are turned off?

Hi.
I cant run the 2.5 version. It crashes while loading:
warband.jpg

Any ideas? I didn't have this problem with previous mod.

Are you using warband 1.143 and if so did you apply this http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,204391.msg4939317.html#msg4939317?

So I hear people complaining about too many bandits. Well I bring you the ultimate anti-bandit army!

They have troops from all factions in there . I have no idea how it happened. Maybe they killed some über bandit group with tons of prisoners?

(actually, don't know how "ultimate" it is, the bandits probably just run away.)

Considering that the 2.5 download states that it is only compatible with 1.143, i would say yes.

Hmm, your computer had a massive boner thanks to your pic on the desk. It took too much space so Warband couldnt run. I suggest you to change the pic...

Actually looking at it, I think there was an average party of Manhunters who got bumrushed by 73+ Desert Bandits and 35+ Black Khergits, and other assorted bandit groups, and before they could fully die. A large group of Sarranids came around and helped them out and the Manhunters got first dibs on taking and releasing held prisoners. No clue how many troops actually died but I would sum the entire bandit army before it got captured to be 230-ish? I'm more surprised by the 162 Manhunters, who knows how many Manhunter parties the Bandits had to fight just to get that many prisoners. Lol

Alright guys i know now why everyone is running and has no chance.
I mostly use Swadian Vougier. I know the are fast but i didnt know they are overpowered. I just checked their stats when you talk with one of them. They have Stats in the hundreds and 176 health. Thought just their speed is buggy

Uhum, overly quick with my response here. I hadnt read your post as additional information to another bug.

Regardless - it would be best if we all used the beta sticky for bug reports

Might be part of it. I also just located some possible errors in one of the Native 1.143 morale scripts. Will see if that helps, too. Spoke to soon, those scripts match Native, too. Native 1.143 did make it easier to have troops route, but not like what you describe. May be the huge HP of your troops though.

After some time testing the enlistement, please find bellow my personal impression/feedback:

1) The idea is really nice. You can easilly imagine that before you start creating your own warband, you get into an army and start building some experience and some relationship with one or more faction.
From a roleplay point of view I found it great as you start level1, it is hard to imagine that you will eailly get some troops following you and lords to give to some fief and all.

2) Scavage in battle: the idea is nice but you are quite limited as you can only pick weapons or horses you can equipe.
Would be nice to get a standard loot type based on the enemies you have just fought (but still much more limited than if you were the commander and got access to all loots)

3) Money making: being a basic soldier doesn't really pay much. Quite fine with that but maybe getting a little be more from scavaging and looting could be a nice addition to your salary. For example, when the lord is raiding a village you can imagine that he give a small part to his troops so they are happy. same after battle.
Getting the possibility to automatically sell loots and scavaged items could help limiting getting your inventory full

4) Storing items: I wanted to prepare for when I would build my mercenary team so I though to start keeping some nice equipement but I quickly got my inventory full.
It would be nice if you could rent a storehouse in a city to store equipement for later

5) Getting high in the hierarchy takes time: I am playing with extended troop tree and to get to swadian C6 rank, it took me over 200 game days (I still don't know how much time it would take to get C7). I am now lvl20 with 200 in 3 of my weaponary. It doesn't take too much really time (maybe 4/5hours) but still get the feeling that It would have taken way less by traditionnal way and I would be much more rich (and surelly would have some land even potentially my own kingdom)
It isn't critical on its own. The only problem is that during this time bandits have gotten super strong and then I can't start getting experience for my new troops/companion by killing small bands of bandits like if I had start early in the game.
I think of the enlistment as a prologue to the actual game start. Like a background you can build before you start creating your band.
Do you think it would be possible to get bandits not develloping while you are enlisted? (their time counter would not increase if you are enlisted)
Is it possible to start a fresh game with a character you would have developted via enlistment keeing equipement, money, landfields (from the new bank system), renown and relations with lords?

6) Benefit from long enlistment and equipement: It would be nice if after some time (like 1month) spent with the same lord, he could propose you to keep or by your current equipement for super cheap price (like 1week salary) to reward you from being at his service for a long time. This would enable you to keep your equipment without having to desert of get captured (getting captured still seems to be the most efficient way)

I am totally with you on this suggestion  :!:

Interesting idea. You could always buy an enterprise and use your enterprise storage (for the time being at least).

Or at least get a horse replacement every once in a while. If the horse become lame, crippled etc you're now stuck with it unless you get a new one yourself. If the replacement happens periodically you still want to take care of it lest you end up going into battle on a lame horse before getting it replaced.

A random occurrence of a 500+ man strong manhunter party? Amusing. But this doesn't look so random anymore. This is a different party. Operating in the same area as the first one.

My evil plan to conquere the world was:

1) Start as a troop soldier in an army:
- get some experience,
- get decent equipement
- build relationship with lords
- get a little money
- invest money in land and/or enterprise (good suggestion for the enterprise, I originally had not though about it)

2) Make more money, build a highly skilled small group of fighters, get some renown:
- recrute companions and a few troops
- kill small groups of bandit to get troops some experience
- invest into lands, trade, ships (haven't tried yet): need to get a large revenue base before starting to get a large army
- participate into tournaments: get money, items and renown
- do quests to get money, experience and renown

3) Get vassal and get some castle cities
- find a king that want you and you have good relation with his lords
- improve relation with the king and lords
- conquere castle and cities close to each others and improve them
- build a powerfull army
- get more money (you never have enough )

4) kill everybody:
- betray your king when he refuse to give you a nice additional city
- recrute some lords
- kill everyone else
- conquere everything

Remember, this is Floris. There's no need to wait for a refusal to betray your king  Tell him to his face.
Just be sure you brought a decent army, or you were smart enough to tell him in a lord's hall and not in the field...

One proposition:
Could we move the dialog-option "I must beg my leave" to the buttom again?
The way it is, I keep pressing " I want to enlist into your army" cause I just scroll down and press if I am fed up with a Lord.
