Greetings everyone!

We've just released the Beta v1.2.11 patch which includes a multiplayer refactor that represents a deeper technical change towards a more scalable infrastructure. We expect it to provide greater flexibility in the backend development, help with our long-term server support, and resolve several issues with services not scaling appropriately during heavy load - i.e. it should help with lobby connectivity during a sudden increase in player numbers during f.e. an event.

You can already join Beta v1.2.11 Multiplayer with both Matchmaking and Custom Servers operational. However, we'd like to stress test the new changes before moving the patch to Live. As such, we'll be organizing a large-scale Siege event on Beta v1.2.11 next Sunday, 04.08.2024 at 18:00 UTC with up to 500 players on the same server. We would greatly appreciate everyone joining.

You'll have a fresh new "character" once you join the Beta. Joining during the event next Sunday and playing for at least 1 hour will grant you 750 Loot once the Beta patch reaches Live.

Switching to Beta v1.2.11 can be done via the Steam Betas system and represents a small download of 12.8 MB - so switching back and forth should be rather quick.
  • Steam Library > Right-click Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord > Properties… > Betas > Beta v1.2.11
We do not anticipate that this refactor will require any significant updates to the Multiplayer mods. Dedicated Server files have also been made available for testing via the Steam Betas system.

Will join in for the event for sure!

Would be nice if we could keeping pushing for bigger and bigger events.
MP seems to be more successful with massive events compared to small scale skirmish, so leaning into that is wonderful, thanks!

Awesome! Hope the refactor helps scale everything!

One recommendation/request - I believe there’s a lot of people on the forum that would love to see the direction y’all are going for Bannerlord (we love the game).

We’re not asking for a large roadmap or specific details - but if y’all are open to saying “hey we’re working on a refactor that’s going to take us a long time to do but will have xyz benefits - I believe that would be MUCH appreciated to the community (where I fall) and probably more importantly the modding community…

It seems like there’s a ton of people on the forum that believed the game was abandoned / not receiving more updates because of the lack of that one sentence. I may have missed something, but the first time I heard about any kind of refactor was last week when y’all successfully got the game to Epic. Before that was months ago when you said “it’s cooking.” Just a recommendation to add a sentence to let us know the game’s not dead!

Hope the refactor went well!

Yes, and I'd like to know what has changed for multiplayer.

Here you go buddy:

Thanks for the new update and for this wonderful game. While it has some issues here and there, it's truly a unique experience. Could i ask if there is a plan to add a multiplayer cross-platform feature ? On console multiplayer is literally dead since the release, it's a "shame" because the few times you got lucky and find a server with 9-10 players it's a lot of fun.

Will the new siege map from the multiplayer siege event be included in the game (in SP or as a MP map we can use on our personal custom servers)?

Hi everyone!

We'll be organizing a MATCHMAKING test on Beta v1.2.11 this Saturday, 17.08.2024 at 19:00 UTC. We would greatly appreciate everyone joining.

Anyone being in a matchmaking queue or matchmaking games (EU region) for at least 30 minutes combined will receive an additional 750 loot once the patch reaches Live (will be released to Live as v1.2.12).

Hello, we will move the multiplayer refactor to the Live environment on PC today. We expect downtime from approximately 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM UTC.

After we ensure the stability of the server-side patch, loot rewards for participating in tests during the Beta will be distributed.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional design, but I strongly dislike it. This aspect significantly detracts from the overall gaming experience.
In no city is it possible to purchase a large number of war horses. Typically, a maximum of 5-7 horses of various types are available for sale, each at different prices. Even if there's a village specializing in horse breeding near the city, the city itself doesn't offer an abundance of horses.
After major battles where I've defeated a vast enemy cavalry, I'm not rewarded with a plentiful supply of war horses. Instead, I receive just one noble steed and some pack animals. Where is the herd of war horses I should be getting as a reward for my heroic feat?

When the inventory is overloaded, a bug occurs - Inventory and trade begin to freeze, open with a delay of 7 seconds.. Optimize at least!
