Beta Patch Notes v1.2.0-v1.2.6

Beta v1.2.1 (06/07/23)

Please note: Minor updates made to the Beta version of the game will from now on also increment minor versions. If you opted into Beta v1.2.0, you will automatically download the new Beta v1.2.1. This means that you will only be able to access the latest Beta version and cannot revert to an earlier version of an active beta. This was effectively already the case before this point. The versioning will simply serve to communicate a change more clearly.

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when clicking on an ownerless party in the settlement menu.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the "forcing villagers or notables to give the player goods or troops" actions from starting a fight.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the formations to widen and get placed incorrectly when the player was assigned as their captain.

  • Fixed a bug that caused settlement militia parties to move around settlements instead of residing in them.
Nice!
There is an estimate on the modding tools? Or it's all the same?

I posted my stream and a time stamp for it in the bug report thread, and the voice over slider makes 0 difference in shouts, cheers and battle commands, also not sure if connected but in a bandit hideout your shout or commands have no volume but your troops shouts you can hear over 100 meters away https://forums.taleworlds.com/index...oops-volumes-way-to-high.459046/#post-9874333
Thank you!

They should be available. Are you not able to access them?

How do I recruit the clans after I destroy their kingdom? Only option I have is to make peace. They don't seem to be joining other kingdoms neither, maybe the last bit is only for me but I can't find any way to take them to my kingdom. Is that a bug caused by my mods or is it not implemented yet

That is currently not supported (all defection persuasions assume they are part of a kingdom and have a liege to betray).

I tried updating drivers, deleting sound folder and verifying files and nothing works. The sound is fine on 1.1.4. I can make a stream for ya to hear it or even a comparison video of 1.2 compared to 1.1.4 to hear the difference, It's about 15 decibels higher on 1.2

We have found some potential pathways to a solution for the audio bug. If all goes well, it should be in the next hotfix (ideally next week).

For those with the audio issue, till it gets fixed my friend Hero has a work around for now. Since the shouts are only tied to master volume if you switch it off then the volume doesn't change, Go into your sound volumes in Windows. Lower it a ton, from 50 to maybe 10-20. Then go into Bannerlord and raise all your volumes in game to compensate. So windows master volume very low, Bannerlord in game sounds crank it up

Them I hope dev team can implement the a system so I can take the clans from destroyed kingdoms to mine. Sad to see all those high tier clans get destroyed.

This blew me away that after 1 day all the clans were just anhilated after the faction was destroyed, which isnt quite what the patch notes said.

Good lord I hope so, I miss sound.

Can we please get an answer to this? Two others replied saying they'd like to know as well but so far no response from the devs.
What is this new watchdog/watchdog.exe that has been added in 1.2.0? I've seen it mentioned in a few places but can't find information about what it is or what it's doing. Why is there no mention of it in the patch notes?

Will the smithing bug be fixed by next week as well? The new modifiers take into account the main characters smithing instead of the actual smith.

I kinda am... thing is, last time I've tried, they were still appearing v 1.1.5 and there were several errors on startup... It also broke the game for me, so I had to revert the game to 1.1.5 and then update to b1.2.0 to get the game working again...
It was all before this newer patch though, so this is why i'm asking.
Thanks for the reply!

Fixed a bug that caused the party roles to be removed when moving companions on the party screen.
I regret to inform you that this bug is not solved, I did not sort, change my party composition, upgrade troops, take on new troops or discard troops and it STILL happened wandering the map.

Cool, faster turnaround than I was expecting for a holiday period

I did report it wasnt by the previous triggers, it still happened though, so I'll keep investigating, happened in less than two hours of play, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, its not every 30 seconds but it still happened
