Beta Patch Notes e1.7.2

Food seems really broken in 1.7.2.

After defeating large armies (Battania) that are sieging me (400-700) troops, they typically have single digit food for loot.

My created parties are also starving. Something seems really off.

I JUST got my third child in my game. Having the charm trait for fertility helps because I don't have it but my spouse does.
well we both have it, maybe the chancel each other out ? just a guess

Give them some time, it´s not that they´ve had play tested the patch some time. It was shortly released after 1.7.1 in a hurry.

Also you have payed to test the update, TW is just here to deliver some quality **** and talk to the peasants. Mods will fix all issues, TW best.

Will there be any value changes next patch for multiplayer? The troop equipment changes seemed to be all singleplayer stuff.

Also, considering the amount of new content that came with 1.7.2 it is clear that there will be bugs, even after a proper testing.

Got another bug, this time a graphical bug. Notice in the picture there is what looks to be a tear in the graphics coming off the shield. The character is a preset Aserai female, no changes other then voice. The shield used was the standard arena shield used in Aserai tournaments.

Update: It doesn't seem to do this all the time, I was just in another tournament with the same situation except I was wearing Ring Mail. So I am curious if it's the armor I was wearing causing the issue.

Also, I know this has been asked before, but can we PLEASE get this changed?

Out of all that chat box information I need to know two things. Maybe 3. I'm not in a faction as of yet, and I don't really care about anything listed there other then my skill improvements and the amount of money incoming-outgoing to troops and wages. There's a mod that actually cleans that up but I am loathe to install mods just to fix something that you, the developers, could fix or adjust just as easily.

One of the issues I have noticed with the food situation is the fact that when a party disbands another is immediately made by someone else. This causes an issue where the Lord who was released from group A due to whatever reason does not have the time before joining group B to restock his supplies. There needs to be someway for the AI to be able to decline a group invitation if it's supplies don't meet a certain criteria or maybe make them unavailable as if they didn't have enough troops. This situation as listed above causes a cascade effect where Lord A doesn't have enough food so the rest of the Lords have to pick up the slack. If they too don't have enough food due to being recently released this means that the group as a whole will starve or have to overcompensate for the extra weight.

Small Note : This also causes situations where you have armies of 1k troops completely worn down to 0 due to starvation and groups of bandits cleaning house. While I for one am all for a bandit finally getting his revenge it causes huge problems in force projection and such when your entire faction has been captured by a 6 stack of looters. (Not to mention morale)

Edit: This entire situation is compounded by the minor clans being dirt poor which I am aware you are looking into. The minor clans can't even afford to BUY food, much less troops.

I disagree. Lot of useful information in those text. At least for my play style

A few filter options for Reports would be really good.

For example:

❎ Foreign Military: Unchecking will hide reports about military-related events (sieges, raids, defenses, deaths, prisoner captures, war declarations, etc) that do not involve the player's faction.

❎ Foreign Events: Unchecking will hide reports about non-military, character-based events (births, marriages, tournament wins, prisoner escapes/releases, etc) that do not involve members of the player's faction.

❎ Foreign Politics: Unchecking will hide reports about non-military political events (laws enacted, clan defections, mercenary contract beginnings/ends, and fief grants) that do not involve the player's faction.

Such filters could fit in the top bar of the Reports window. So when you press Enter, you can click these checkboxes to begin filtering.
Currently there's a checkbox for Combat Log, but I'm not sure what it even does (siege engine hits?) as it doesn't seem to change much else.

This would get rid of 90% of reports the player doesn't care about most of the time, but allow them to show them when they are interested. Especially the Foreign Events option.

What are your thoughts, @MRay ?

pretty sure clans being poor or not as nothing to do with them running out of food.
It's more of a combination of food not being available and the overall army not buying packing horses. money as very little do do with it and it seems to me like an assumption until proven otherwise.

Main problem in my eyes and AI as never done this. they don't buy packing animals, as far as you can tell from the barter screen, that makes their parties weight so low they will starve after 20 days.

Also remember that a clan with a Poor tag means that they have at least 15K or more in reserves. poor doesn't mean completely dry, very poor on the other hand is another thing but no clan at the start of the game or in an healthy kingdom is ever very poor as richer clans can share money with poorer ones

There is gonna be a lot of multiplayer changes yes! Many troop, perk and weapon changes. Captain mode will get some love aswell.

Combat logs is something you can activate/deactivate to show or not the combat details during battles (damage done, which body part got the hit etc.).
No impact when on the wod map.

in my run ALL! minor clans are very poor
which i really cannot understand at all caus
the WE has enlisted 8 or 9 of em and all they do is camping the choke point up from Quiaz(sp) and swarming caravans
caravans cannot escape caus they come at them from every direction
there must be money in all those looted caravans

Edit
someone above mentioned this allready
the AI is creating a new army as soon as one disbands
the army leader should be aware of the food need and should carry a ton of food as i do if i create an army
afaik the AI does not buy horses for upgrades they create them out of thin air
they could easily create 20- 30 for food stuff
or they could buy em they are dirt cheap and even create money if butchered
