Beta Patch Notes e1.7.2

Remember the "but after the refactor patches will speed up" fairy tale stories?
At the start of EA patches were released almost every day.
Than they told us that patches will be released every two weeks "if nothing prevents them from releasing it"
After the refactor patches were released every month...
Looks like, now patches are released once per 2 months... If nothing bad happens.... But it'll probably be a hotfix... Maybe...

Exactly. I want to be supportive of TaleWorlds, but this rate of output is just pathetic. I honestly think they might have shifted some Bannerlord staff onto another project.

Crunch, also?
If they are to stick with Q2 release, remaining devs must be under pressure to implement what got officialy announced (criminal empire, claimant quest, banners, movie scenes, voices...) fix (economy, AI behavior on the map...) , improve (OoB, battle terrain...), polish...
The list is long...

If they are to stick with Q2 release,
Impossible that TW can achieve this. Only 2 months left. We´ll maybe get one real patch and one hotfix in this timeframe. Even with crunch or getting 100 new devs tomorrow, it´s still impossible.

I don´t even think they can do it in 2022 with their pace. Q2/2023 is possible. I also think TW won´t announce any new release date, maybe they say "when it´s ready" if they even say anything when we reach Q3.

I mean they´re not even confident enough to commit to anything ("We will release feature X in the next update"), they´re just doing whatever they are doing and see where it goes. Doesn´t look like if they had any internal plan.

While I agree TW has probably shifted part of its workforce to other projects, I still believe that Bannerlord is the main one.
We may see fewer patches recently but they are still working hard on it (1.7.2 came with a lot of code changes).
The main problem is the communication...
Maybe they are close to a Q2 release, maybe not... Nobody knows and nobody has any clues about the actual development situation...
We are just left to speculations and fairy tales...

Nope, there is too many missing stuff from their "roadmap" and we know that they test new stuff internally before they release it.

Claimants as one example, it will change some core gameplay features (replacing the leader) or banners (that influence morale in some way), they can´t do this. Only if they really rush it without testing, but I don´t think this will happen and even then I´m not sure if they could do it.

Don´t get wrong, I also don´t want them to rush, even with their slow pace there are enough bugs in each new update so...

Yep, one year since last time I tried to play a long campaign.
Too much bugs and inconstancy that I knew it would ruin the gaming experience.
I'm still refraining from starting a new one at this point.
There are more features but most of them are WIP and new bugs appeared as well...
So I'm just sticking to the early/mid game and keep learning c# and modding...
But yeah, when you see what Bloc can do, I can't imagine all the good stuff we will get in the coming months... years...
But before this even happens we need a stable base game...

Don't want to advocate for 'crunching' in this industry further or for yet another half-baked feature/system implemented among all the proposed features; they just have to come clean/honest with us what their roadmap really is. Whether that's another delay so they can add these in, removal more features ('complexity'), or mod tool adjustments, or whatever.
The silence (or lack of explanations) they are portraying now is just the worst decision to really make for an EA game that's now over 2 years since being public. So many other EA games out there that go this route end up DOA; the fact that so many of us here are still sticking through is testament to our loyal fandom of this game/genre but that doesn't mean it should be treated this way.

Time for an update. Just relax and let in plop out.
Let's hope™ it will be as surprising and refreshing as a poseidon kiss

It´s time for TW to tell us that we won´t get an update this week.

I also would like to know if you´re still testing the next update and release it when it´s ready?
