Fixed a bug that allowed the player to assign fugitive and recently released heroes as governors.

oh no, is this the teleporting heroes fix ?
pls if so, let me assign a hero as Governor and he arrives a few days later depending on the distance
 
Could anyone else confirm that hero deaths in simulated battles are gone? I've made a ticket, yet, still not sure if it's just me or not.

Remember the Devs have decreased the hero death chance to 2%.

They can now survive 500 damage and don't die, if i hit a hero with 500 damage in his head, he should be dead.
 
Not had chance to play yet but have watched a stream. Looks like a lot of nice improvements.

Yep, they did it in at least 1.6.4 patch, if I remember correctly. I played the game at this version and a little bit at 1.6.5 - the heroes died in simulated battles from time to time (log were saying this). But now, in 3 in-game years, I haven't seen a single death in simulated battle on the log. The nobles die from old age only.
 
In the picture above you see 2 parties that are at peace with each other, however, when you check the encyclopedia it shows they are at war.
This is because one is either the beni zal or the ghilman, a minor cation that is at war with the aserai at the start of the game, they can however make peace or join neutral faction as a merc, they can also join the aserai as a merc after this too, however the encyclopedia will always how them at war with the aserai.

I posted a screen cap of a death in battle in my game feed but here it is again.
^so in my game at least (started campaign) the AI dies in auto calc on it's own
 
Some of the things I tried and thought were great additions to the battle system:

This Siege pre-battle deployment UI is fantastic, it allows us to assign leaders to the troops. I don't know exactly how it translates into the battle, but I think it's a great addition.

Also the menu to create "squads" is also a very welcome addition, even the little thing such as in addition to the percentages, they added how many actual troops are in each group! Little things that make your life easier, enjoy the game instead of grabbing a calculator and doing percentages...LoL.
I'd love to hear from someone with more experience or who used them a bunch of time to explain how they actually work, for instance the bottom right button, the top button with a sword or bow...etc.

Once the settlement is stormed, this is the menu you get to choose for the storming of the keep, the "enemy's last stand".
Which is again a fantastic idea, here one can select his/her companions and/or units that need upgrading and storm the keep.

Overall, this has been an excellent update.

Just had an AI death in battle case. But it was the only one in 4 in-game years. Not sure, maybe it's just because I play an old save game or maybe because it's late game already (my character is 65 y.o and can't still kicking, lol). Still, it is better to check if everything's alright with the code.

So there's some hope for the game afterall? After almost a year and half of Early Access, we can finally play working siege battles...
 
the party scout is resetting after i negotiate with a noble but decline the mission in the end
and i had a succesfull second conversation with a lady normally she would sent me to the clan leader to finalize the marriage, but she said nothing and the father in law does not regognice me either
he was not the clanleader, Rhagaea was and i talked to her and the marriage is now finished
so the bug is : at the end of the second dialog there is no massage that sent me to her

i did not fail because then there would be the "give me a second chance ....." dialog

Update is great, played all day, now my body requires sleep. I even changed my negative review back to a positive review.
