Beta Patch Notes e1.7.0

正在查看此主题的用户

Do lords still starve themselves while walking to join your army? They wouldn't stop to get food and march straight to you. I found this issue in 1.6.5 but forgot to report it. I can't download 1.7.0 yet to confirm if it still exists because I want to play MP, so I'll appreciate it if someone could do the test for me.
I just have tested it, and of course they still do, but they do try to attack other lords, even stronger than them, when I'm not close to them. Priorities I guess.

I guess I'll make a report for this bug, because I have nice save file for this now.

So many improvements, there's bound to be bugs. But this has to be one of the most important updates in a fair while.

Well done!

Starvation!!!

I can't wait to build a 3k army, siege up, and go watch TV while they starve.

Thank you so much for adding Korean Language.
A lot of Koreans are playing this game.

However, I found some translation errors.
Messages mainly related to prisoners of war.
There is only the subject and the back is truncated.

The error message key I found is in [std_TaleWorlds_CampaignSystem-kor.xml]
- 6u3t174w

Well.... 30% of zero is still zero, but we'll see, more convenient math bugs have certainly been in the game before?

Maybe I read it wrong, but if it increases 30%, and the chance goes down with age until it reaches 0% with 50, it should take longer? Or just increases the daily tick chance?

Could you please open bug reports for translation erros you find in the Game Translations board? Thanks.

I like the updated behaviour as well, I felt that they surrendered too quickly before.
Does this also pertain to the willingness to fight overwhelming odds? For example attacking about five Looters with a small army should make them surrender a little bit more often before the battle starts?

The new Battle UI looks great, however there seems to be some misalignment of the different elements:
The unit cards (1) are outside the main box, which is causing the slider (2) to be outside the actual screen window and not usable.
(3) There is no description for the unit categories like Infantry, Cavalry, Horse Archers...etc

Also, since we can use mouse cursor to make selections on this menu, would it be possible to make the "Give Orders" (F1 to F9 keys) mouse friendly and also use cursor to make the selections on screen just like for the items above? while keeping the key bindings as they are as some prefer using keys other may prefer using the mouse?

The old assignment system is gone! We can no longer assign the troops anymore, it seems it is all done automatically, which causes companions to be assigned without our input.
I've always considered Companions as "personal body guards" and assigned them to a category by themselves in order the have them "Follow Me".
Even though my current experience in the game has not been very extensive, I did not think there was anything wrong with the pre 1.7.0 version and did not read any posts complaining about it. Was there any particular reason it was removed?

I think I had a glitch with the speed slowdown during issuing orders, after the orders menu was closed, the battle continued in slow mo (very cool) until the end and never returned to the normal speed! unfortunately I do not have a game save, which makes this report not very useful. I will try and save prior to each battle and so if I can replicate the problem.

This is not directly related to 1.7.0, but I thought I would bring it up for your review:

In the picture above you see 2 parties that are at peace with each other, however, when you check the encyclopedia it shows they are at war.

We're going to address the transfer window issues. Thank you for reporting.

I'm going to look into enabling mouse selection of orders in the deployment screen but no time frame atm.

A post in the suggestions subforum would be appreciated, and I'll make sure to bring this up internally.

Can you provide us with a save game and we'll take a look.

@Dejan

By the way, Looters behaviors has significantly changed...for the better I think.
They have been fighting to the last man, which makes early battle less boring and your troops get the opportunity to score kills (thus earning XP for upgrades) before the looters all run away after a couple deaths.

Was the change universal, does it mean real armies are also going to fight to the last man?

Yes, maybe just give us a "reserve" group where we can put our companions in so we can keep them safe in the battle?

But overall the battle of order system is a huge improvment in my opinion.

@MRay

Hi MRay and thank you for the swift reply.

As for:

I did just post it in the suggestion sub-forum. However, this was not really a suggestion, but more like a question as to why it was removed?
It seemed to be working just fine and allowed the player to group and assign Companions as he/she sees fit. I feel this was the last bit of control one had over Companions and it was taken away.

Thank you

Edit:

This is the result of the auto-assign Companions:

Great patch! A bunch of innovations that I have been waiting for about a year. The only thing that is not clear is why the developers have removed the ability to send units to the type of troops on the squad screen.

Rescued my family in 1.7.0 beta and completed the tutorial.
However, i don't see the scene where Radagos executed Galter.
Also in the dictionary Galter appears to be alive.

Is this intended?

I have a question because I haven't seen it in the patch notes.
It seems better to give the option of killing or saving Galter than silently hide it.

I completely agree, you need to return the ability to send companions and units to units in the squad management section.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

Don't remember anything in regards to this being changed with 170. If you have a save game please send it to me. I'll hop on now as well to try and replicate it.
CptMuppet just confirmed that it still exists in 1.7.0 and made a thread here. I can send you my 1.6.5 save file if his report doesn't suffice. Thanks for the good work, you guys.

i was confused of that some patches ago too
but the general consensus was that if they are mercs and eployed to a kingdom the war status of the King Dome counts
