The heroes death rate feels much lower than it was before. In fact, deaths in battle are so rare, they hardly mean anything. Has something been changed in that area?
it's the 2%.... they make it very harder to happen the deaths in battle now

were there not patchnotes a few patches ago that NPC do not create armies in peacetime ?

well they still do which is annoying cause they always invite my companion
give ma a switch to let them allow to join army or not please
there can be a influence penalty if i decline

I would love to see such feature in the game. Clan members constantly joining armies are getting quite hard to level up in some skills, and they get captured pretty often too.
Also, it would be easier to defend own fiefs if you could let companions do this, but it is impossible, because they are always joining some army. This makes picking companion party ai, like "Aggresive", "Neutral" or "Deffensive", practically useless.

Got a screenshot of that? Or well, could you please clarify if that occurs when holding ALT or at all times? @Spinozart1 @CptMuppet
No need to hold ALT.
It is constant on battlefields and partial during sieges.

Yep.

I started with two melee cav groups because I hadn´t any horse archers. Then I got horse archers and they were assigned to one of those groups. I created a third horse archer group but wasn´t able to move the horse archer group slider to get those horse archers into this group.

It only worked when I set up all groups as mixed cav, then I could move melee cav and horse archers as I liked to. After that I could also set up one of those groups as horse archers only and it still worked. But as soon as I setup those two mixed cav groups as melee groups again it´s screwed again.

My first idea was to set it up like this (didn´t work):

This worked:

I have been experiencing the same issue.

Also if you create two cav group and create an army, infantry from the lords armies will be assigned in the cav group as well, and I couldn't find a way to take them out in another group. A bit annoying but nothing too bad.

I am stuck in slow motion after trying out the new transfer troops thing. A y idea how to fix without restarting the fight by closing the game
?

Back out the mission and go back in. This has been fixed internally should be live in the next hotfix.

A bit unreleated to this, but I was wondering... Could you consider a "key" on the control for a type of attack for some weapons? My suggestion is manly for the Blade weapons (swords, knives, eetc) sometimes is truly frustraing to move the mouse the right direction turning a nightmare of slashings-slashings :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yes. they should change the requirement for joining armies from 40% of party size to party leader must have lower tactics skill has the army commander.
Because my clan members gets only defeated when they join someone's army, because the tactic skill of the army members will be ignored for simulated battles and only use the tactic skill of the army commander.

Maybe Companions can only join an Army with the express consent of the Clan leader (player).
If clan leader allows companions to join, clan will earn some influence and if clan leader declines, then there should be a small influence penalty.
Also, companion independent parties should be a little more useful and have some more specific roles.
As it stands now (pre-1.7.0 as I have not tried Companion parties yet), they just wander around seemingly aimlessly and not sure how useful they are. What's missing are more specific tasks, such as for instance: security duties (going after looters/brigands), commerce raiding (attacking enemy Caravans when at war), war patrols (attacking enemy parties)...etc. Maybe this is already happening, but I have not seen it much or think it being useful at this time.
Also, in addition to the more specific tasks, we need more specific areas of operations. For instance: Patrol Clan's territory, Companions would go and intercept looters/brigands that are active in one's own territory. Border Patrols during war, in which Companions would intercept enemy parties entering Clan's land or Kingdom...etc. Border Raids, in which Companions would cross into enemy territory and raid villages/intercept Caravans.
But, if nothing can be added to companions we should have the added ability to play the companion during a battle. If one of my companions is attacking or being attacked, I get a notification that would ask if I want to take control of the battle as the Companion. This could be an option that players can select if they want to take charge or just give the AI exclusive control of companions.

I guess I digressed from 1.7.0 feedback to suggestions/wishes. I will post this in the appropriate forum also.

Maybe just give us a toggle "is allowed to join AI armies"?

And why can´t we form armies ourself if we aren´t a vassal, doesn´t that make sense for me.

Maybe you aren't allowed as a mercenary to lead nobles around? On the other hand I would like it if you could at least create an army out of your own clan's parties.
