Beta Patch Notes e1.5.8

Only if you have a weak PC. I honestly haven't had neither of graphical problems on both branches. I guess memory leak is fine if you have 32gb of fast ram and m2 ssd drive.
It doesn't matter all that, sooner or later you will get a crash from memory.

So, potential hotfix still in the works for this week?

Thumbnail loading, texture issues, missing wanderers. Any other big ones?

Workshop bonus and 'base' not included in construction calculation .

At least that one has been marked as 'Done', pending a hotfix release.

There is some activity on steamdb...

Hotfix 18/02/21

Singleplayer

Crashes
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when the player or hideout boss killed spectator troops during a hideout duel.
  • Fixed a crash caused by loading an old save that starts immediately with the siege aftermath menu, (which has been changed in new versions and contains pillaging options).
  • Fixed a crash caused by average item price calculations.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that directs the player to a peace menu while raiding a settlement even though no peace occurs.
  • Average gold amounts of towns are increased.

Can't imagine which kind of problem are behind it to be unresolved after several days considering how game breaking is this bug.
It has to be a deep problem, remember 12 days ago they patched it and icons didn't work, so it's been 2 hotfixes that haven't worked, must be deep in the code

These patches are kinda big for what's listed. Are you sneaking more stuff in for later? DO you have any update on disappearing wanderers?

It's very obvious to me now why TW won't add any new depth/content, look at this recent update. It has introduced a ton of bugs, they should just scrap it.

Combat

  • Bastard swords and axes now work like polearms with shields (forced two-handed without a shield and forced one-handed with a shield, no longer requiring the pressing of the X button).
Is this staying in? Being able to switch between one and two-handed grips is a key part of my multiplayer style. Seems like such a simple thing to implement it defaulting to two-handed when you don't have a shield but still allowing the swap.

Why even issue a hotfix if it doesn't address the existing (fairly serious) bugs that the previous hotfix tried to address? I'm just astounded at how long it takes to address things like spinning thumbnails and the fact that they repeatedly get reintroduced. Come on guys.

Wanderers, forever gone, but not forgotten.
