Look at the post I edited in to that comment. The campaign option for birth/death was intentional.

You are right that AI lords not dying in simulated battles seems to be a bug.

Hopefully the bug gets fixed and we get the options separated out.

someone on my channel said in Steam forums they were dying in battle so I ran a 5 year test and not 1 lord died, so I am assuming that is the bug, of course assuming.
Would be nice to get the option for birth and dying of old age also, I loved that setting, I hope we aren't just left with one or the other
wouldn't shock me that we won't get it till atleast 1.5.6
 
good thing that I love death & aging & birth so that bug/design choice literally doesn't affect me, hopefully, they will fix it & change it back to the way people liked

my point has been just give additional options so everyone can have their play style they like, don't limit it and force us to find mods to do it
 
TW thanks for all the hotfixes. But please, PLEASE, PLEEEAS add party control! The game is just unplayable without it.
The stupid AI is just keep creating huge armies to walk around the land in peace-time. My children in parties cannot train themselves in bandit fights cause they are walking up and down in huge armies like LUNATICS!
I don't care about snowballing! I don't care about rebellions! Without these the game is playable but without party control IT IS NOT!!

You mean they donate their troops isnt it? You should gain influence for this. More influence for better troops.

About topic yes you should have more control over your companion parties and it is planned and will be implemented in future.

Unfortunately, seems that the option to disable them joining other armies is not in fact coming, but a feature that makes armies not form in times of piece should be indeed added.
 
Did anyone notice that your little brother and sister are 3 years younger at start of the game, I need to double check but it seems they are a lot younger now

Even outside of peace time it's too bad, due to the kamikaze operations the AI armies do. I really don't want my kids join their armies.
Even just an additional button in Armies UI to remove my parties from AI armies (not to disband whole army) would be a grate option. I can give them back the influence loss and relation loss is also acceptable. But I don't want to sabotage the whole army by disbanding it, it 's too much (however that is the only option atm).

I 100% agree the forming armies is peace time sucks so bad, you disband your army so your parties can get troops and immediately get pulled into a dumb lords army and your forced to spend influence and lost relation to disband his army, that I would love to see implemented sooner rather than latter and NO I didn't say
"soon"

Sure. I would do it myself but sometimes I just don't have the mental energy after workday :grin:
 
The AI is still too passive to attack in sieges involving the player. The AI had me out numbered 800 to 410 and left the siege.

Also, markets are still being flooded by items I craft and do not sell.

total defenders was 410 or 410 was our army ? Only reason I think is they were running out of food or went to another target. It is sad I am over 2,000 hours into Bannerlord and have had 0 defending sieges. I will tag @mexxico so he sees it, he was working on it

total numbers of my party and the garrison were 410, 2 to 1 advantage for the AI. The siege lasted forever, they could have just launched an attack, was not a food issue.
 
I have the beta version 1.5.4 installed (main branch 1.5.5 didn't exist when I downloaded the beta I have now). I want to upgrade to beta e1.5.5, however, it's not an option under properties like the other beta's. e1.5.4 is the highest one listed for me.

Do you know a way to force the upgrade??

if it lasted forever that could be a food issue as mexxico adjusted that, however the only way to know for sure is if you had a save at the exact time
