Beta Patch Notes e1.5.5

Well guys I spoke too soon, Just before recording my video I decided to hop on a game I created just last week, and 1 battle in boom death, so unless I have great RNG it appears that after the hotfix on last week Wednesday or Friday they turned death on for battles as well as old age and never told us. So I may have just had great RNG but it appears games made before the hotfix are immune to the changes, but all new games you must have death/birth on or off, no in between how I loved it, you get no options community, on or off deal with it, and we wont tell you, but hey I don't get paid by Taleworld but will still do the work to get you the information they should have released themsleves, uh oh chill comment coming,
off to do video sorry to bring some bad news
Peace

Veterinarian - 30% chance per day to recover Lame Horse; Fortitude something - Extra 10 health for companions (in your party only?).

Thanks for the information

I think it is interesting that they included new content in a hotfix for the first time. With this we can hope to get some small things like new maps in future hotfixes and it could make the waiting for real patches a bit less intense^^

Agreed, particularly for relatively minor content additions, which hopefully means it has a low chance of “breaking things” .

Gee i hope not, on the steam page the recommended specs are set for 8GBs.
It is, i had awful lag and stutter in battles with 8gb ram and no amount of changing the settings helped, bought another 8gb ram stick and the game runs butter smooth now.

I just checked bandit troops upgrade, still bugged...

Thanks for checking. Disappointing. Does anyone know if this has an official bug report and/or response?
EDIT: thank you @scarface52 for the link.
Marda says it is fixed behind the scenes but won’t be implemented until the next beta/live cycle.

I had to play on greatly reduced settings on 8gb, upgraded to 16 around April, and also had huge performance gains from that. As such I can’t speak to the current game on 8gb.

Ok I ran a battle with 8 companions and/or family members and did it so I knew they wouldn't survive, I ran it 8 times so that is 64 times a character went down in battle, there is a 10% they die, I do have high medicine so lets figure 7%, on average maybe 4 should have died so one of two things is going on
1) death is sill on but I have great RNG
2) death was put back the way it was and we were never told
I can't be 100% sure either since again, Taleworld for over a week not refuses to comment on this
sad @Callum was just on and couldn't take 30-60 seconds and make a comment for us
So my 2 cents
First, better communication which is and always will be my #1 complaint with TW
second, make us an option se we can play with birth death all on, all off, or how it is now, birth on, death only natural causes, give us the options to tailor to our playstyle
I hope It is back to how it was and I didnt have great RNG, I wont be here long, dont want to get another chill comment and I have my weekly beta branch video to make
Peace all

Is this a bad joke?

After more than a week and a half, two hotfixes, they still haven't fixed this major bug?

I was waiting for this patch like Christmas and the guys prefer to release a new multiplayer map and not reactivate a simple option to configure death in the menus that they have fired BY ERROR ???

I do not think it is a choice, if it is for the balance of the population of the clans, it is rubbish because it will be depopulated very quickly since the lords perish by packs of 12. .

And I'm not even talking about the companions / family that we have been slowly evolving for years and that we have to hide in each battle since they can die at the first stones of a brigand like a vulgar infantry no name ...

It's bad will it's not possible, I am disappointed by TW (not to mention the non-existent communication in fact on the forum posts relating these bugs)

Sorry for my English and for my anger, but I don't understand. It is unplayable for me in the current state.

what's the worst part aside from we are aware of it a week ago not one comment from Taleworld on it

Gods above, so i have to chime in extra cash for more ram so i can run it properly... i hope TW fix the 8gb spikes or atleast change the recommended specs in the steam store, so people wont be confused.

You´ll profit from 16 GB in a lot of games and programs. It´s also not that expensive.

8 GB DDR 4 Ram is around 30-40€. 8 GB really isn´t up to date anymore, even my 7 year old PC had 16 GB DDR 3 ram.

I guess it depends more on your overall setup.

Example: Good cpu / gpu and 8 GB ram may work good, but just a decent cpu / gpu and 8 GB ram can lead to frame drops?

But still, I would upgrade to 16 GB ram non the less, it´s not expensive and will improve the overall pc performance.

I think that it's not a mere 16GB matter. I had stuttering with it in some cases, not everywhere. It might have to do with polearm mechanics somehow...

I dont think its the RAM while playing custom battles at 600 i have no stutters. But on campaign i have stutters on battles with around 10 people.
