Great patch!
I am looking forward to a bigger crafting upgrade. Can't wait to craft my own bows and shields!
I hope we will also get an option to train crafting, instead of producing hundreds of items, just for the unlocks and skillpoints.
Crafting-training should offer a faster and cheaper option, without the benefit of selling the end product though.
Btw, are crafted items still flooding the shops?

Was it confirmed you could craft shields and bows?!!

Yap, I wonder if that means that you no longer can buy/sell tows and castles.

Can somebody who read all of this tell me what of worth have they done in this patch?
This patch is all about fixes, performance, balance and polish. No new content of any impact was added.

How you value the patch depends on where you place most of your anticipation.
 
If you lock an item, for example grain you can´t get it in the loot screen with the "loot all" button unless you unlock it. Guess this is not working as intended?
 
  • Crush Through:
    • Increased crush through energy threshold.
    • Made it slightly easier to crush through with 2h maces in relation to the energy threshold change.
Bro, what have we been telling you. Get rid of Crushthrough, its random and ****ty. Please dont say "AcTuAlLy ItS nOt RaNdOm, ItS a CaLcUlAtIoN" or whatever because im not going to tell the two hander in front of me while im trying to clutch a match to hold on a second so I can whip out my calculator and find out all the possible outcomes. 1. make the combat less spammy 2. get rid of crushthrough and leave the melee up to skill and not a "calculation" because in the heat of the moment, its RnG
 
So I finally see that the "tactics" perks should be implemented/fixed.

I launch the game, and discover the pre-battle orders/placement perk has been removed completely instead of being implemented.

What a disappointment. It doesn't make sense to me to see my men and the formations all over the place on top of each other at the start of every single battle. It is not just immersion breaking, it is more cumbersome and annoying to fix during the actual battle.

Also it is already in place for sieges, I have literally no idea as of why it can't be done during map battles.
Oh no...

I thought the reason it was taking so long to implement perks was because of mechanics like this.

EDIT: To be fair, it does say "campaign-side perks" and doesn't mention the tree being finished yet. So there may still be hope :')

Crush through does not have any RNG. It is simply does it meet the threshold requirements or doesn't it. The increased threshold means that it will be harder to get crush through.
 
We have something in the works for battles that is similar to the siege deployment phase that is currently in-game. I'm not sure when it will be ready though.
Maybe they will make it available without a perk. Like the siege deployment phase. It doesn't make much sense to lock it behind a perk for only field battles IMO.
 
This is an amazing patch.
Big nerf to imperial lamellar and it seems battanian armour is the new meta.
And finally a nerf to rough tied bracers !
I'd like to see best armours to be the heaviest , so that other options favour athletics builds ( which is not currently the case with gloves/boots etc )

Agreed. I want to easily place troops for battle. In field it matters more so than siege. Since in siege they just all scatter to do their own thing really, and its best you just let them self delegate. Auto deploy is also just a thing you should do. In sieges there's no benefit to self deploy. But in a field battle it does matter since there's more ground for strategy.

Oh yeah, I actually remember reading that now. That'd make a lot more sense if it wasn't locked behind a perk.
 
Kingdoms and Diplomacy

Great patch, but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed this opportunity wasn't taken to balance the kingdoms further. I go into detail here. Did Vlandia really need another Clan when it already had 2 more than every other kingdom?

Yes it sucks when they re do perks and get rid of your favorites or make them super high level, as I said in a video, perk reworks are excited but very scary, let's tease you with a perk that hasn't worked since 1.0 then just remove it, Such a tease TW
 
Getting "login failed" whenever I try to open multiplayer in 1.5.4 beta

I see beta patch notes for MP so I assume I should bet able to log on.

Agree with this.

Great patch but it would be nice if Vlandia wouldn’t get another clan. I hope that Mexxico is aware of this and take it into account for his current task about kingdoms balancing.

Thank you very much TW for this amazing patch anyway.
