Beta Patch Notes e1.5.4

1.5.5 was finished quite some time ago from what I understand, they're just fixing the bugs and issues with ai in that patch. If they keep adding more fixes on top of that and release it without the proper testing we'll get a game that crashes when you change settings.
Oh right, yeah I bet they're gonna fix all the bugs this time, not any other time ever, but this time for Shirly!
Don't let Shirly down this time TW 0 bugs 1.5.5 and put out 1.5.6 next week!

This is taking longer than the refractor delay. Something is wrong here. The last hot fix introduced skinny drag men, moral is low here.
Yeah I think a big old **** up happened, they should just remove what they didn't get right and update what works..... or put the whole thing in the closet if they goofed and give 1.5.6 stuff. I hope they pay some attention to why they're having so many problems, shouldn't they be improving somewhat after working on the game for 7 months?
Or is that not how game Dev skills work? is it just like rolling dice all over the floor and you have no control over the outcome or a way to improve your future work? Obviously somebody sorts the stuff out though.
 
Anyone just baffled in how little work TaleWorlds puts into multiplayer?
Really low player base, SP is much bigger that's probably why

They probably know why, at least some devs do

So let's assume that you are going to develop 4 features under another feature.. Like let's say you are going to add 4 new features for battles. Feature A, Feature B, Feature C, Feature D. Normally you should start developing these simultaneously to avoid one feature breaking another feature. But TW goes like this.

Start working on A -> Finish A -> Start Working on B -> Finish B and it goes like this, the thing is when you finish feature B, feature B may break really important things about feature A. So they have to fix them. this is why they face with lots of problems. I know it isn't this simple but the main point should be something like this. Imagine this but more complex like Feature A.1 A.2 B.1 B.4 etc.

Or this is how I know, I believe @mexxico can correct me if I'm wrong because IIRC he is the one who stated what I wrote.

I think they are improving though, 3 good updates on the horizon. Remember when we waited a month for a sheep texture?
 
I think the main problem with the game is the lack of late game features, we really haven't much to do, if we belong to a faction the game becomes bore, if we get independence, we barely can't do nothing because a simple thing, like our companions becomes nobles aren't implemented.
 
I have tried with several, it is not easy, some ask to speak to the is faction leader , others say they are uncomfortable with the conversation, they are boring. We could at least offer a castle in exchange for a scaffold to a prisoner, but even that doesn't exist.

Anyone plays it at all? It is soo teamwork-oriented, tried it once and nah, if I wanna play with others in medieval settings, I'll go Mordhau. But even this game is full of nolifers with pans.
