Beta Patch Notes e1.5.4

Ugh... well at some point xp needs to be revamped, the stuff that works correctly is too slow by far. I like to grind but with a character that starts out at 35 my character dies of old age when they start to get good. The highest level I have reached legitimately was level 21 and 28 with the smithing exploit. If you play legit you will never reach the level of your average lord or brother and by some miracle you do if you weren't a horse archer or smith exploiter it is a bit too much imo.

Anyone else having the bibble right side notifications dissapearing instantly? I cant access them at all.
Any other kwnon way to access kingdom polls?

Anyone else on a fresh 1.5.4 playthrough notice that certain minor cans aren't being hired as mercenaries? Three years in-game and no one has hired the Ghilman, Beni Zilal or Karakhergits it seems, which is somewhat unusual.

@mexxico was there some change made to the hiring prices?

edit: as soon as i wrote this the Beni Zilal and Ghilman were hired to fight in different wars.

It has been there for awhile.

Yes. There are problems at this issue. They are hired rarer compared old versions. I fixed it however changes can be at 1.5.6 (2 next)

yes
if you catch it it says issue outdated or something like that
it will eventually go away and a poll will come up to vote correctly
at least it did for me every time

You spend months working on caravans/economy and then you change them and the gameplay is more less broken because caravans can't move fast enough on the campaign map?

The "v" button, character editor still makes the character very skinny when pressed, and some beards seem to have renderinh issues.

Please fix the v and the rendering on the shady beards

I do not know if that would be possible for the engine but every weapon should be able to do not just particular type of dmg like cut, blunt, pierce but just pure weight of weapon plus your weight (armor included) and speed should add some blunt dmg (being in heavy gear with effect like almost mounted on a light horse).
Yeah, in Kingdom Come a sword would do mostly cutting damage but also a small amount of blunt damage, axes would do more blunt damage and maces would be all blunt iirc. Not sure this is possible in Bannerlord though.

That's the overall NPC problem. All companions are skinny as hell, your char will be skinny as well if you go to the character editor or won't try leveling up "Athletics". Kinda looks ridiculous, when a skinny little girl carries a big 2H sword and puts down Vlandian knights and other elite troops. Why aren't we allowed doing such a simple thing as changing muscles and weight of the character?

I'd love to know how the dynamic body weight is supposed to function in the finished game, because it doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason at all now. My characters consistently gain weight and lose build no matter what I do. Even playing totally unmounted and focusing heavily into athletics, they still wind up looking fat and weak over time.

Wait, does athletics influence your character appearance?

Skinny little girls swinging big 2H Swords? Why does that sound so familiar? Oh, right that was... Um, never mind. Never seen this before. Ridiculous.

I've seen a message on this forum from a fella who was diging up the code. He found out that leveling up athletics changes your muscle level, and resting in towns for quite a time makes your character more thicc.

I've tried leveling up Athletics and I can say it worked for me, but after I went to the character creator to change the hair colour, my character became skinny as hell.

So I have noticed something that I think is affecting the way that the mid to late game plays out. All my recent games end with the same story. Khuzait and Battania do well. Sturgia, Vladia and the imperal factions doing badly.

I was playing as Sturgia but was getting bored after 10 years with no fief apart from a castle that the Valdian's kept taking back. I left and joined Vladia in teh pursuit of glory. They had lost Sargot and Jaculan to the Battanian's but otherwise remained intact. The Battanian's had wiped out the western empire by this point and had also taken places from the norther Empire and Varcheg from Sturgia. So as Vladia we declared war on Sturgia. I raced up there are fought a few small battles then suddenly the make peace. War was only a few days and there were no seiges or even big battles. fast forward a few boring peaceful weeks and the Battanians declare war on the Aseri. Then suddenly Vladia wants to go to war with Aseri also. I think great! lets smash them when they are also getting stomped by Battania and we can get some easy territory. Then after a couple of small battles and no sieges they make peace.....

It is like they went to war just to extort a small tribute which is a fine strategy in some cases but if this is the apparent sole ambition of weaker factions then they are doomed to be consumed by the stronger ones.
