Yep - can definitely relate there, Dodgy. In my 1.4.2 playthrough as a pure Merc, I find myself smashing 1-2 Khuzait parties every single day, ~150 kills daily while barely losing a troop. Several seasons in, it's still had no discernible effect on the frontline, and if anything Khuzaits are still holding onto their gains and occasionally adding a fief, despite being at war with the world.

In a 1.4.1 playthrough with my own kingdom, it was possible to beat down the Khuzait by focusing on quick landgrabs followed by peace. Killing parties in the field repeatedly doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact on the economic power of the faction being farmed; only territorial gains at their expense matter.

Yep, or you need to go through the some heads are gonna roll route, which I dislike as it hasn't got any depth like a just cause for doing it or reasonable repercussions, possibly kingdom policies that would allow to do it without losing any relation at least with your own kingdom.
If you don't, you have to deal with infinite respawning lords acting like flies for most kingdoms aside from Khuzaits, that with their OP cavalry can win easily against the odds with the autocalc.

It's not just the cavalry being OP, when you actually get to fight the battle yourself, it's also due to the single unit AI being moronic, deciding that it's better to all turn around and shoot at that guy on the horse that just passed them by rather than shooting at archers/infantry in front of them that are slaughtering/charging at them.

The fault is mine for buying into EA expecting to find a product similar to what had been showcased by TW in the previous years. Lesson learned, no more EA buying.

Code has almost none weight. Maybe they are adding some assets which would be used in a later update.

You people are going to be so disappointed when the patch will release. Even one dev said 1.4.3 will be same scale as prior patches. The size increase maybe because of code refactoring.

Source? Their update just said new patches are coming very soon. Then they go and list all the things they are working on.

on this thread: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index...player-and-engine.422296/page-13#post-9472527

We are currently working on getting the next patch ready. This should have a few incremental improvements that I believe the community will enjoy. (Just to preempt any misunderstanding - It will be similar in scope to prior patches.)

Good job if they release it on a monday, giving the whole week fro hotfixes if needed!
If it's don't come though I'm gonna be grumpy.

It'd be nice if it didn't break saves, but it's gotta happen sometimes.

I've seen here on the forum that the new update will be more or less the same as previous patches in terms of content. That's true, maybe even DuhTaleworlds told that.

Wow thanks for the great reply totally agree with your Edit comment.
thx for the testing , i did write down myself some at my own castle and yes it seems they stay there longer then it "feels"
before that i dropped them off at the next dungeon on my way and they seem to vanish quick
also i noticed when playing concentrated ingame time went faster then i thought
Sure, no problem. One last thing I'll point out: because the player gets a 0.33x advantage multiplier to mobile party escape chances, the chance per day of an npc escaping works out to be 7.5% if you can keep 81+ troops in your party healthy. This is the same escape chance as putting a lord in an npc owned dungeon, meaning as long as you can keep your party in relatively healthy order, there's very little reason to ever donate a prisoner to an npc settlement in the first place. Also, even if you only have a single healthy troop in your party, the daily escape chance still works out to be ~12.4%.

Here's the source on that:

We have held off on publishing it, because we are not just working on content but also investing a fair bit of time into refactoring some of the code base. Generally speaking, this tends to be a bit painful when it happens but is a necessity in software development that improves the long term health of a project. At the moment we are testing these changes and are trying to resolve any bugs that came with them (an unavoidable consequence of refactoring a program with this level of complexity).

Is there somewhere I can go to find all the changes consolidated into one nice place? I went to the beginning of this thread and hotfix log ends on June 11th ish..

I am having a crash when trying to court a lady. It happens right after the dialogue option "perhaps you and I" or when I ask her for marriage. Am I the only one facing this problem?

I had no problem at all, maybe bad luck or your mods (if any) are acting up.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I honestly don't care about the trading perks - they're not part of the equation here for me. And I don't want to "grind" at anything, battles, trade or anything else.

If the consensus is that trading is "fair" as is, I'm fine with that. But, at the moment, I can't really say that trade is a good path for me. Whereas in Warband I usually started as a trader and could field 30-40 men running a route between two cities in distance about halfway across the map from each other.

I'm open minded though and will continue to play and see how it goes. This isn't Warband and a realistic, evolving economy would be preferred anyway.
Exactly, I do play a trader quite a bit, not the only thing I do but I do enjoy it when I want to sit back more from battles. Here are my takeaways
1) lvl 25 perk was broken about 3-4 weeks ago and still not fixed, it is a real major help in trading
2) The economy has gotten tight meaning the prices do not fluctuate like they used to a few weeks ago so less profit.
3) With lower profit now comes less caravan profit
4) trade perk doesn't seem to effect caravan profit much(I am doing more testing)
If you see 3 of the 4 major issues right now have changed since early access launch which hurts, and when do something it can hurt a bit when you get multiple to effect just one aspect of the game it can take something and make it very hard to do. I still enjoy trading and I thank Dev Mexxico for letting me update him on changes, but I have just been saying with a tweak here or there and trade perk fixed and can go back to being a real fun thing to do again, but too many hard hits makes it just a pain.
