Hit the tab Depots and it will give you a list of any patch that is pushed to local, internal testing, Duh_tales personal server, etc

I just saw an article on my phone about the economy, everything I had been saying was out on the "mmorpg" website and not a glowing review either, i hope it doesn't discourage people too much, wish I had link but looking at it on my phone, I hope a patch today fixes a little bit of it

Great article and mirrored what happened when I went back to what I reported on as a "good" trade game yesterday. My margins got squeezed tighter wherever I moved on the map. In hindsight this had been happening already I just noticed less because I had a huge supply of mules and goods and wasn't tracking prices as closely due to the 500k I was sitting on in the treasury.

It's been what I have been saying for over a week, It needs a "tweak" to it, I now as an economy there are a lot of moving parts, but unless you play a specific trade you will not notice it.

Just saw an EA Update post on Steam. No patch yet. Wonder if one is coming today?
I hope so was holding off on a playthrough test since it would be worthless in a new patch, would just love to know their intentions, let us know your plans

So I read this whole article, thanks for posting. I have to say, this guy brought it on himself. He thought he knew enough about the game, tried something, was pretty wrong, and then says the game is rigged.

" I...had some bad assumptions that smacked me around a bit. "

Well that's your first mistake. You have to try things out for a bit, work up to bigger assumptions, and then see how those pan out.

" I don’t really know how it happened, but prices normalized so much that I’m currently stuck with about 15,000 units of goods that I’m now selling off a few at a time as I find rates above the level I set for myself. It’s a frustrating situation, mostly because there are rules at work here that aren’t functioning the way I would have expected."

You bought HOW MUCH?

It was at this point in the article (near the end) that I realized just what happened. He had no idea what he had done. Essentially, he wiped a huge amount of commodities that would have normally been traded locally and globally. This enormous amount of purchasing on his part led to substantial global shortages and all prices jumped up. So by the time he was ready to sell, the prices had already climbed because of how fast he had bought the items. The markets never had a time to recover. See, villages take a bit of time to produce their goods, and these goods then have to be shipped off to cities to be refined into higher tier items. When Red bought the items (from wherever), what he effectively did was remove them completely from the world until he sold them again. He actually became the equivalent of the 1%, hoarding cash and making things worse for everyone else.

Then, he wondered why everything was becoming expensive and scarce...Honestly that was a pretty amusing article to read.

1.4.2, Day 856. All factions still exist but northern empire only has 3 fiefs left. (realistic difficulty)

I have 2 Castles fully built and 1 Town fully built with 4500 current prosperity. 5 workshops earning between 195 and 275

My army is 180 strong, mostly tier 5 troops with some tier 3 in training. My 3 garrisons are mostly tier 3 troops around 450 total.

I'm running a constant -1500 to -2000 deficit. Constant repetitive battles (50% of which are on terrible maps for larger armies) and the occasional smithy item keeps me well funded but it's become boring and smithing will be fixed eventually.

To me this economy feels too tight. I would love to have another party or two but there is no way I could afford it. I currently cannot gain more fiefs because i'm only clan tier 4 and our faction just gained a couple tier 5 vassals which have fief priority, seemingly beyond 3 fiefs each. Of course all the workshops are just level 1 as that's all we have available to us.

Its your Prosperity..in your castles way to low. It happened to me.I am with Aserai also have 2 castles and 1 town. i was at -4000 each day. but now i have it getting better at -1800.. It was the first patch that done this. it put many of the castles to 0 prosperity so you have to start to build it up..they no about this.. also i dont think it happens if you had started a new game after the patch just the ones before.... but you can turn it around just takes along time.

This was a new game beginning with 1.4.2 and my castles are at 844 and 247 prosperity. All my fiefs are just now beginning to work on prosperity after building for so long. Makes me wonder if mixing prosperity growth with buildings would be a better approach.

Still feels tight to me but maybe with higher level shops it would be better. I really would like another party of all cavalry to chase down smaller armies, if it works like I hope.

it will be better, trust me, I'm in a new save too (1.4.2), I owned 5 castles (all with 1000+ prosperity) and 2 towns now, my castles and all its connected villages give my just about enough to sustain theirs garrisons and half of my party wages (1500+ denars), the 2 towns with my workshops give me an extra 2000-5000 denars per day. Make sure to fight the looters and all enemies who are about to steal your butter from these villages! I want to play a bit with caravans but didn't have the luck to find a decent trading companion. Please note that, trade perks impact a lot on caravan's profit, I learnt that from my last save (also 1.4.2 after the hotfix that fixed caravans issues), 100k denars -> 0 in several months, all due to bad trading companions who simply do not know how to buy low and sell high.
