Beta installation problem... and a q about LAN play

I got invited to the newest wave of beta testing (thanks guys!)... I downloaded the installer but when I run it it just does nothing, nothing even comes up on my task list for even a second. Interesting... I use windows XP if that helps.

Also, I was wondering, does (or will) this game support lan play? (Or direct IP, or play over Hamachi or something like that) That's the main reason I am so excited for the multiplayer part My roomate and I have been foaming at the mouth for a chance to smash the sh*t out of eachother, heheheh.

Are you using AVG antivirus by any chance? Or have you tried re-downloading the installer? Perhaps it got corrupted on the way to you. Also, LAN is supported!
