What's different in the multiplayer beta branch compared to the normal one?

Multiplayer

Audio

  • Added notification shouts to certain events (like the distant shout when someone captures a flag).
Server & Network
  • Fixed issues related to requesting to join a custom game that is ending.
  • Fixed issues caused by multiple party members requesting to join a game at the same time.
  • Fixed some rare cases of disconnections from the Lobby.

Both

Performance

  • Major CPU performance improvements on both field and siege battles.
  • Minor performance improvements on multi-core usage.
Art
  • Fixed beards protruding from helmets.
Audio
  • Minor improvement on sounds playing delayed on slower HDDs.
  • Audio performance improvements for older CPUs.
  • Removed clicks and pops from boulder impact sounds.
  • Some volume changes for ambient sounds.

So I’m confused are there active na servers in multiplayer beta or only on the stable branch ? Which is standard to play multiplayer on currently ?
 
Cannot connect to MP from beta 1.4 currently. I get a version mismatch message.
I have a ton of mods for the SP 1.4 and I would love it if I could connect to MP without downgrading my game. Also having duel servers would be amazing as well :wink:
 
I'm currently playing the single player beta, which means I can't go over to MP without doing a 4gb download... It means I can never check if anyone is on multiplayer, preventing me from ever playing it. I saw in the patch notes that they separated MP and SP, hopefully in the coming weeks (or more realistically months) they implement a system where multiplayer is accessible on all versions of the game.
