So my workshops are pretty weak sauce compared to earlier patches, only making about 40-120 per day. Most of the threads about this topic are outdated, but does anyone know the best places and workshops in the Batannia lands or just nice places in general?

It's difficult without a longer term financial summary to be certain and offer evidence (any single day snapshot is dubious), but the consensus still seems to be that workshops with supporting inputs from villages (and villages attached to associated castles), in higher prosperity towns, should be most profitable. 100 per day is a decent return on investment. Except tanneries, which are currently bugged (sort of - basically, hides become as valuable/more valuable than leather, so they make no profit).

ah that's good to know. had wondered why my Tannery was making zero...

As for workshops the ones I tend to get the most success from are Silversmith, Smithy and Brewery. Making 100-200 is normal I think although I've made 200-300 in rare cases. Best bet it just look for the villages and what they produce and then trial and error.

So I take it the days of the 300+ a day workshops are over.
I've not had any that good for a while anyway. Just checked the 4 I have at the moment (Smithy, Brewery in Senon, Linen, pottery in Ocs Hall) and none are making over 100 atm

My dude don't listen to these guys.

Here are the Tier 1 workshop locations every time:

Silversmith - ORTYSIA
Wool Weaver - Jaculan
Wool Weaver - Tyal

The three above I can confirm, they are consistent across a few plays. Generally speaking it seems like Wool Weavery and Silversmith are the two best options currently.

Hmmm , that's not the case for me in my recent playthrough as trader.
Hides cost around 45 while leather around 150 give or take.
There is certainly some bug with leather related to its marked profits , for example i always see it marked as green ( with 1st + 3rd trade perks ) no matter how much it costs. Perhaps that's what screws tanneries up atm.
Funny thing is , i don't think that was the case at the beginning of my current campaing - only later on - but i can't remember for sure.
I'll double check on another playthrough in the future.
Its hard to figure out exactly what's going on by just playing , hope it gets fixed.
Tannery went from champ to scrub.

Lastly , i too want to confirm that wool weaver provides great results.
Other workshops can spike high too , but they don't seem to be consintent for me , changing from ~10 to 150 every day QQ. I've been experimenting on 5 different aserai towns , and wool weaver was the best by a large margin. Doubt it has something to do with the area , since there's barely any sheep villages down there. It seems to be the same around the world.

Currently workshops seem slightly disappointing to me.

PS. Haven't bothered with feeding raw materials into towns , those were all results on auto pilot.

I wish we could deposit cheap raw materials in our workshops like in warband, that just gave the feeling like you were running your business. You could score some nice profits if you got the raw materials cheap somewhere else.

My bro. You can still sort of to do this, but I get what you're saying. In Bannerlord you have to sell the town a ton of the resource your workshop consumes and then buy all the product your workshop creates. This lowers the cost to workshop and increases the profit. If you do this a lot, your workshop will make more.
