Best web-hosting service?

Anyway, I've been lookin for some-place where I can dump pictures n stuff, maybe eventually make a website if I'm bored, but just something with decent bandwidth, ok-ish size, and something which would actually allow you to link to the pictures and stuff from forum / other sites. Any suggestions?

(Free-webster offers 250Mb, 15Gb bandwidth, able to upload any format, but I tried linking some pictures to this forum from them, and it doesnt seem to work : )

There's a few decent cheap ones. The best really dirt-cheap one would be GoDaddy. I know a couple of people using them who are pretty satisfied, and GoDaddy will allow you to pay monthly unlike a lot of them.
If you want extra features and a hell of a lot more space and bandwidth, there's Startlogic who I've used myself for about a year.
Startlogic doesn't cost that much more, but on the other hand you have to pay by the year rather than a monthly bill. I'm happy with them, and have a friend using them (who I referred to them) who is reasonably satisfied. They have 24hr phone support, and usually answer immediately without making you wait. Oh, and their phone support is actually helpful and halfway intelligent, if you can believe it.

GoDaddy probably has quite enough for your purposes, but if you decide you want to go with StartLogic, please let me know before you do since I can get a decent referral fee.

If I remember correctly, GoDaddy costs about $4-5 a month.
StartLogic costs $6.50/$7.50 a month (for 2 years/1 year) but usually they have a deal where you "pay only $1 for each of the first 3 months" which gives a good discount. You can pay per 1 month or 3 months with StartLogic, but the price goes up pretty steeply for that.

Depends what you want to use it for, piczo is not bad, I am (or was, I don't have the url on this comp so I have to wait until monday or tuesday) usingFreeweb for a Nationstates page.
I'd like to know if there is a way to easily host for free a website/forum.

Pretty sure you can host forums and websites, however most of the free providers put up restrictions. Main purpose is actually to have images which I can link to from outside, without them being blocked by the site...

If you just want a site, but not going to link any images from there to forums and such, I suggest free-webster (www.freewebster.com) They got 250Mb of space, 15Gb bandwidth, you can upload and download probably anything, but the problem is that you can't link to the images you have on that site from forums or elsewhere...

EDIT: Just done talking with free-webster customer support, it seems that actually they don't limit image usage, and they are checking whats not working so there is hope yet after all :

(imagine... 250Mb of free space... 15Gb of bandwidth.... mmmm /drool)

Well, another problem with the free ones (besides all of the restrictions and usually required ads in your pages) is they tend to change their services on a whim or even drop your account without notice. And if you have a problem? Hah, don't bother trying to get support.
