If you are following a horse archer, stay on his right side. That way he can't shoot you. Doesn't help much in the overall tactics though. Just to keep yourself alive.

That is why i use a courser when fighting Khergits. And if the guy turns around i slow down, turn with him and engage with my sabre

you know its actually easy to make a khergit turn around and chase you while you where actually chasing him to start with. when you follow a khergit and hes showing signs of attacking you back just simply turn around and run away. he will be like "Wtf come back D:" and turn around. its an easy way to kill them if your tired of running.

Yeah, but the topic title is "Best way to fight Khergits????" not "a sufficient way of fighing Khergits".

I don't think hevay infantry is the best troop against cavalry archers.

best way to take out cavalry is lots of spearmen

Get rhodok seargents, get them to stand as tight as possible and hey presto.

I like to get on my horse and help by shooting the enemy from horseback and slicing them on the ridepast when they get tangled up in your infantry

on the contrary i always see heavy infantry as slow infantry and it would be really annoying to send them in against the fasts troops of all calradia.

You dont need to send the infantry anywhere, just wait for the Khergits to come to you.

Oh, and stay at the edge of the battle map so that they can;t get behind you.

Heavy infantry like Huscarls or Rhodoks are effective in taking down light-armoured horses. Just let them crash into your lines once, and a big amount of them will be dead before you know it. Rinse and Repeat

No, khergits either run away hitting nothing at all, charging right into my line, or charging into some invisible barrier that should represent the edge of the map

Swadian sharpshooters and SW. seargents standing on a hill and hold a position, and 25 SW knights, 6 Vaegir knights and 15 Khergit lancers( with me amongs them...)chasing Khergits around to the last one.....
simple.

I try to keep my units close, dont let anyone woder off cuz individually the Khergits  slaughter anyone. If you keep the ranks close, fight on a small part of the battlefield you should be able to beat them. But only works with highly skilled guys/women

no matter how you look at it a battle with the khergits is bound to take alot of time. Damn khergits scattering all over the place.

I played a mod based on the Chinese Revolution once and they had some men based loosely on Khergits I believe and I found something out...

Heavey machine guns work well against Khergits!

Kills 16 khergits in less then 10 seconds.

The Atom Bomb... kills 10s of thousands of everything in less then 0.1 seconds XD
