Hi all

I wonder if anyone could post any links to some of our best user created Warband videos that people are aware of? There's a multitude of clips on Youtube but it's tricky and time-consuming to find the best ones. I'm betting that some of you guys have some epic clips of either clan matches or enormous 200 player battles etc

If we collated the links it would make a great selling point for potential players.

Really really nice videos, thanks for posting those. I took some good clips from the 22nd's 200 player server last night but I'm lacking any video editing tools to do something good with it.

There was a great battle with about 60 Nords in a shield wall defending a hill....

I encourage everyone to join our big servers at around 22:00-23:00 CET
It is most likely very populated at that time to shoot some scenes.
I have no experience myself with movie editing.. What program did you guys use for the above video's?

I take no credit from those videos, I did not make them. You'd have to talk with the OP in the thread links I posted with the videos.

Capturing videos is easy with FRAPS. Although there is skill in getting good shots (slow camera movement). You can download an avi trimmer, but not sure about overlaying music or credits...

Vincenzo -were you on last night? They were some epic battles. Although, can I suggest the game round is reduced from 10 minutes slightly? And maybe Master of the Field is added? It's only beacuse if you die early in an epic 120 player battle, you can be waiting quite a while

Great server btw.

Round time is 7 minutes 30 seconds, or if one team dies or if they raise master of the field flags.

I'm creating a couple of dueling videos, but to be honest, its not going to be that good.....

Although, I am going to make a fan film/trailer with in-game footage soon

Ok first of all what is Master of the Field? :???:

Second of all I have bought edition of FRAPS and tried to record some video the other day.  For some reason it broke my video into 1-1.5 min long clips?!  I don't know why it did that.  I then tried to upload the vids to youtube but it would not let me.  Anyone know any good tutorials for that??

I am gonna post this same question in the forums but since I found a vid related post I figured I would start here.

thanks

It does that because the filesize is huge. You need to compress them before uploading to youtube also.

Master of field=when you have to run to the flag to win the round (if you still don't have killed all enemies)

I made some videos, you can find them here http://www.youtube.com/user/vares22

I use FRAPS with 30FPS and Full-Size

It make video very BIG and will divide a video as the file approach 3.9GB. I mean, if i FRAPS a 6min battle, the total video will be like mmhhh, 9GB or more and i'll have 2 file 3.90GB each one and a final one at like 1.2GB

Now you have to 1)merge those files in a single video and 2)compress it.

For point 1 i use virtualdubmod, just open it, select the first file then file-->append, select the second one and again, append the third one. Now "save as", give it a name and save. It will now save the video in a uncompressed mode, it will weight like 40GB or more  That's not a problem for me...

Now, compress it. Use Handbrake.

Install it, open it, Source-->select the video you just made with virtualdubmod, clic Video, select x264 codec, clic "Target size" and put the size you wanna the video be. Youtube allow for max 2GB file, but for a video long like 6min, 2GB is too much  Just select what you want basing on your internet connection

Start and Handbrake will compress and convert it.

Upload on youtube

So
1)With virtualdubmod merge the parts of the video
2)With Handbrake compress it
3)Upload.
