Best troop - kidnaped Girl

I am amking one experiment. Recently I done Kidnaped girl mission. After I defeat bandits I keep Kidnaped girl and now is she part of my troops. She begins as level 2 character and can be upgraded just like your companions (Marnid, Borcha, Rolf...).

I am still training her, but with best armor, weapon and horse she can be powerfull companion. Onyl trick is that you can't go back into town from where you pick up mission, because when you enter Kidnaped girl leave your party

Yeah, it's a fairly common trick to get you another companion. The fact that she starts at level 2 makes her a lot better than say, Rolf, who you'll only ever be able to spend a few of his skill and attribute points at most.

Go to towns you rarely visit anyway - preferable allied cities - and hope to be given the kidnapped girl quest.
Then avoid visiting the town again. The good thing is that when you free her again, she will have the armour and weapons
that you left her with (except for a few glitches maybe).

She'll make up her own mind about what weapons to use most, unlike your other companions who will try to stick to the order you arrange them in their inventory.  She rearranges them to suit herself, which can get interesting if you give her two of the same category.  Say you gave her a sword, a shield, and a club so she has a blunt weapon.  Both the sword and the club are one-handers, so she'll pick the better one of the two and not display the club the next time you check her inventory.  Take away her sword, leave the inventory screen, come back, and she'll have pulled the club out of her ass.

Works like this for her helmet also.  Check her inventory and her helmet will have disappeared (must like the wind in her hair).  Replace it and the new one will disappear also.  But when she appears in battle she always has her helmet on.  Go figure.

Couldn't you just seperate from the kidnapped girl right outside the town where you received your mission? Of course, that's assuming you could still recall which town you're "supposed" to bring her back to

You can, and the quest log tells you which town it is.  Just have to remember.

If I remember correctly, she has annoying habit of degrading ammo, too. I remember buying her 2 large bags of Khergit arrows; looking into her purse next time she had only 1 standard bag of Khergit arrows left... I had to reprimand her for neglecting to care for her ultra expensive gear

That's right. I never give her more than 3 things in the weapon slots, because the last one often disappears.

I'm sorry, I could not help myself. I think Marnid or Rolf out-does the Kidnapped Girl by far.

No, only one kidnapped girl, simply because only one 'kidnapped girl quest' is given at a time.
That would be a severe glitch in the game if you could get numerous kidnapped girls

it's very strange ! (in 0.950)  i had conquered Jalkara, and was doing some quests to improve the relation with the town.

and i got a quest to go rescue a kidnapped girl.


for my surprise, the bandits had shaven the girls head, and that's shocking being the only place where a guy wants a girl to have hair ... the sick bastards ....

so, i go there, pay the money, ask her to join my party, bring her to the town, and i can't %&#%&#& complete the quest because it doesn't seem to recognise i saved the girl ...  what gives ? any solution for 0.950, excluding update -have some time/army on the character) ?

You are stuck with her.  She can't fight, can't run away and can't be captured by someone else.  You can't level her or giver her equipment.  In .952 the quest actually works, but it is bugged for earlier 950s.  I even got captured on purpose to get rid of her.  Lost all my heroes, but not her.

Yup...after the new update it's a pain in the butt if you're stuck with her. Have the same problem... I want to get rid of her so I hope that I get a new mission again....'cause she is just filling the place on my roster without possibility of arming or advancing her...

It has been reported numerous times, no use floggin the dead horse.
