Benvenuti nel nuovo forum della TaleWorlds!
Come spiegato nel blog della scorsa settimana, il nuovo forum include alcune nuove funzionalità e miglioramenti che speriamo possano piacerti. Inoltre, abbiamo sfruttato questa opportunità per ristrutturare alcune parti del forum, quindi se ritenete che manchi qualcosa, è possibile che sia stato semplicemente spostato, rinominato o in alcuni casi archiviato. Il nostro lavoro non è ancora finito, quindi puoi aspettatevi altri cambiamenti nelle prossime settimane e mesi! Se avete commenti o idee/suggerimenti che desiderate condividere, assicuratevi di lasciare una risposta nel thread Feedback and Suggestions per consentirci di dare un'occhiata.
Sfortunatamente, abbiamo riscontrato un paio di problemi durante la transizione. I messaggi privati del forum precedente non sono stati trasferiti su questo. Sappiamo che alcune di questi PM contengono informazioni che non possono essere abbandonate e quindi abbiamo deciso di rendere accessibili i vecchi forum per consentirvi di accedere e recuperare il contenuto di tali messaggi. I dettagli su come accedere ai vecchi forum saranno pubblicati a breve. Inoltre, i nomi utente sono tornati ai loro account/nomi di accesso originali: possono essere modificati nelle preferenze dell'account. Alcuni ban ormai scaduti sembrano essere stati attivati nuovamente su alcuni account, se tu o qualcuno che conosci ha problemi del genere, puoi inviare un'e-mail a [email protected] spiegando il problema e lo esamineremo.
Alcune delle funzionalità che abbiamo evidenziato nel blog sono state limitate ad alcune sezioni per il momento, questo per darci un pò di tempo per vedere come si svolgono in un ambiente ristretto. I Prefissi (Prefixes), ad esempio, sono stati limitati alle sezioni Technical Support and Modding Q&A. Abbiamo anche deciso di limitare le Reazioni (Reactions) della sezione Media, in base ai feedback ricevuti nella discussione sul blog. Successivamente, se la prova avrà dato esiti positivi la estenderemo anche alle altre sezioni del forum.
La nuova funzione Social Groups è attualmente limitata, il che significa che tutti i nuovi social groups dovranno essere approvati da un moderatore prima di essere accessibili da altri utenti. Attualmente stiamo cercando dei modi per rimuovere questo passaggio aggiuntivo, ma per ora è così che verranno gestiti. La speranza è che i social groups forniscano ai clan, ai team di modding, agli organizzatori di eventi e a tutti gli altri utenti simili un posto dove riunire i propri membri senza bisogno dell'aiuto di amministratori per creare board o concedere diritti aggiuntivi dopo la fase di approvazione iniziale.
È possibile che nel trasferimento ci sia stata la perdita di alcuni sotto-forum, questo a causa dell' incompatibilità con il nuovo sottofondo (Theme), quindi se trovate qualcosa di strano o che non funziona, lasciate una risposta in Bug/Issue/Error Reporting segnalandoci gli eventuali errori in modo che possiamo darci un'occhiata.
In conclusione, sappiamo che potrebbe essere un pò uno shock per molti dei nostri forumiti di lunga data il passaggio da un sottofondo (Theme) chiaro a uno scuro. Vi assicuriamo che col tempo ne creeremo uno più chiaro in modo che possiate scegliere di tornare a quello che vi è più familiare.

Ulteriori cambiamenti oltre a quelli menzionati da Callum nei vari Devblog riguardanti il nuovo Forum:
Home page:
- La home page del forum funge da hub in cui gli utenti possono accedere rapidamente e facilmente ai forum di gioco e supporto. Ospita anche contenuti in primo piano nei forum che riteniamo meritevoli di essere evidenziati e presentati all'intera comunità.
- La nuova funzionalità dei Social Groups consente agli utenti di incontrarsi nel proprio forum dedicato. Pensiamo che questa sarà una gradita aggiunta ai team che lavorano insieme su progetti, come team di modding e organizzatori di eventi, così come clan e qualsiasi altro gruppo che sta cercando il proprio spazio di discussione in un'area più strutturata nella quale avere il propio controllo totale.
- Il modding è sempre stato una parte importante dei giochi Mount & Blade e, come tale, abbiamo voluto fornire alla nostra comunità di modding un'area dedicata in cui possano riunirsi per condividere le loro conoscenze e idee con altri modder e presentare le loro mod a una più ampia comunità. In altre parole, la sezione modding è un nuovo hub per tutto ciò che riguarda il modding!
- La sezione media consente agli utenti di condividere i loro video e immagini in un unico posto, con il supporto di una serie di diverse fonti multimediali esterne, come Imgur, YouTube e Twitch, le quali vengono presentate in una galleria strutturata che gli utenti possono navigare facilmente nel proprio tempo libero.
- Simile alla sezione media, il nuovo forum contiene anche una sezione dedicata agli streming che mostra i live di Mount & Blade sia da Twitch che da Mixer in un unico posto, consentendo agli utenti di guardare e interagire con gli streamer direttamente dai nostri forum.
- Abbiamo incluso un nuovo sistema di trofei che fornisce agli utenti obiettivi e risultati su cui possono lavorare diventando membri produttivi della comunità.
- I badge sono abbastanza simili ai trofei in quanto non hanno altro scopo se non quello di mostrare agli altri membri della comunità quanto sei fantastico! Tuttavia, la differenza fondamentale con i badge è che vengono presentati alle persone in base al contributo che hanno apportato o per qualcosa che hanno ottenuto durante il loro tempo all'interno della comunità.
- Gli utenti ora sono in grado di taggare i loro post, questa dovrebbe essere una gradita aggiunta per ogni frequentatore di forum. Ciò dovrebbe rendere molto più facile l'individuazione di specifici Topic di discussione in futuro!
- I prefissi consentono agli utenti di vedere lo stato corrente o l'oggetto della discussione di un post senza dover aprire la discussione e leggerla. Ad esempio, nella nostra Help Section i post sono impostati in modo da includere automaticamente una tag “Unsolved” che può quindi essere modificato in “Solved” quando verrà trovata una soluzione. Allo stesso modo, i prefissi possono essere utilizzati per evidenziare qualcosa di specifico su un argomento, ad esempio se si tratta di multiplayer o singleplayer
- Aprire delle discussioni con una domanda nel titolo consente agli utenti di porre domande alla comunità su cui stanno cercando una risposta specifica. Una volta soddisfatti della risposta alla loro domanda, possono selezionare la risposta migliore da evidenziare affinché altri utenti possano vederla.
- Gli utenti sono ora in grado di creare un nuovo account nel forum o collegarne uno esistente al proprio account Steam. Attualmente questo non ha altro scopo che facilitare l'accesso agli utenti, tuttavia, ci sono alcune idee su come potrebbe essere ampliato in seguito, quindi tenete d'occhio questo spazio!
- Abbiamo aggiunto la possibilità per gli utenti di reagire ai post in un modo simile a quello che puoi trovare su qualsiasi social media. In questo momento lo abbiamo limitato solo alle reazioni positive, tuttavia, vorremmo includere la comunità in questa discussione e raggiungere un accordo su quale dovrebbe essere la portata delle reazioni. Known issues with solutions available:
- Private messages and profile notes from the old forum could not be transferred over. We are leaving the old forums accessible (but locked) indefinitely so that you can recover anything important. You can access the old forums here. Sent messages are currently not accessible due to an SMF permission conflict, but a solution to make them available again is being worked on.
- Some posts (generally ones using complex tables) were structurally damaged or modified in the transfer. You can refer to the old forums to help getting posts back to looking how they used to. Orion has also posted some helpful info on repairing such posts.
- Visible usernames in the new forum are also your login username. Display names are not a thing in XenForo, so those from the old forum are gone. Similar to the old forums though, we allow names to be changed once every 6 months (available in your account settings). The difference to note is that you are changing your login name as well now, so be sure to update your login info accordingly.
- Some usernames were also changed in the transition, generally due to them containing commas, which are not allowed in usernames in XenForo. If your username was changed, you will need to update your login info to reflect the new username. These are the affected users:

Callum_TaleWorlds ⟶ Callum - For those who do not like dark themes, the standard XenForo theme is available. In the lower left corner of most pages you will see a paintbrush icon with the current theme name, which by default is "TaleWorlds". You can select the theme you want to use there. Note that we are planning to eventually add a theme based on the style of the old forums.
- Some custom forum ranks (like External Developer and Forum Legend) are gone. These we are planning to replace with new badges.
- In the advanced search page, modding forums are not available in the "search in forums" list.
- People in a Group with the admin or moderator role can't currently moderate other users' threads and posts within their Group's discussion forum.
- In the Media section, when adding something from Imgur, only "/gallery/" links currently work, and the submission page for those looks a bit messed up.
- Categories which you have minimized using the "^/V" symbol eventually all revert back to opened.
- In boards which have thread prefixes, it would be useful to be able to perform a search and specify prefixes at the same time. No promises.
- We will probably be adding a few more supported languages beyond English/Turkish/Russian.
Fixed issues:
Some extra profile fields that were transferred from the old forum are currently not working correctly."Time spent online" profile info is currently formatted poorly.Forum ranks are not yet posted in the Help section.Sent PMs in the old forum are currently unavailable.Old links to the forum don't all redirect correctly. In particular, Google's cached links (which will be updated as they crawl back through our forums) are in a format that isn't covered by our redirect script yet, but occasionally links elsewhere might also be in that format.Board moderators weren't showing up within the Modding section. Also, the top breadcrumb within the Modding section was missing categories.The profile option to disable profanity censoring is gone. This is being worked on.
The option "Disable censoring of offensive words" is now available in your preferences under "Content options".Board moderators (for tournaments and mods, and others) still need to be set back up properly. Apologies, but this might take a while, as it will be a long and tedious process on our end.Custom titles as they exist currently overwrite your forum rank..
If you had a custom title in the old forum and want it restored, please contact one of our Global Moderators to add it back for youWhen viewing a Category in the Groups area:
-The page links at the top don't work correctly. As a workaround, you can add "&page=2" to the page URL to get to page 2, as an example.
-The "Filters" dropdown results in "the requested page could not be found" error. Filters also don't work to sort the list of groups.Events for Groups are not currently working and are temporarily disabled.
Events can be created in Groups by group admins and moderators.In the Media section, when adding something from Imgur, only "/gallery/" links currently work, and the display of those is messed up.
Both "/a/" and "/gallery/" Imgur URLs now work in the Media section, and they display properly now.
Added features:
- You can now start a Conversation with no recipients, just yourself. This can be used for storing notes. Or just talking to yourself.
- A new "Member search" is available in the top menu under Forums > Members. This allows searching any part of a user's name.
- You can now ignore forums and threads to prevent them from showing up in various places. You'll see the Ignore button at the top of the page when viewing forums and threads, which will then let you choose which places you want them to no longer show up. You can modify or remove your ignored forums and ignored threads by finding those menu options in the Forums dropdown menu at the top of any page.
- New "
[PRE]preformatted text[/PRE]" BBCode for preformatted text, which will display with a fixed-width font and extra spacing preserved.
This will be updated as work continues between myself and Callum. Also know that Callum will be continuing with finishing touches on the theme to improve things here and there.
