Benefits of Titles? (As Vassal)

I've not been a vassal for a while, but when I was I can't remember receiving a weekly purse like I'm forced to pay my vassals now that I'm king.

So my questions are..

1) Do we as players, also get a weekly purse based on our social title? I.E 10,000 denars a week for being a Baron (or equivalent)?
    1.A) If not, is there a reason why?
    1.B) If not, what are the benefits of progressing in titles once you're a vassal other than visuals?

In my opinion, the higher title,  the esier to be granted new estate or to be Marshall. I'm not sure about the weekly payment from the king, maybe it just makes the game harder for you when you develop your kingdom
