I also seem to recall the bizzare situation where teams in Div B were asked to move up to Div A and no one wanted to, so aD who were in Div C accepted it. I think VW was one of those teams in Div B at the time even ?

Oh I remember that. But your post might imply that Kwen is railing against the system only because VW doesn’t get a promotion match for Div A instead of Mori.

I don’t think that does Kwen justice though I am not sure what his intentions are.

You are lying, you keep insisting on rules that don't exist and both admins have repeatedly told you that's the case, then extrapolating from your made up rules that X is happening.

It's very clear how you think the rules should be, but they aren't, so stop claiming there is any special treatment or fudging of them.

There is nothing to gain from joining Division A right now as an upstarter from Div B. If you go up to A you'll get circle-stomped (and laughed and called trash by the Pr0Play3rs on top behind the curtains). It's literally useless. I understand every Div B team right now outright dissolving if forced into Div A, since, well, if you play for fun, you won't get it there.

Perhaps some ppl will call you trash behind the curtains but I don't see why it matters to you. These players will call you trash just because you play in the lower divisions nonetheless.

+ if a team plays "for fun" they can talk to admins and give their spot to some team in div B since BEAST admins are pretty understanding in difficult situations.

But you are right Dextrus I never wanted to play in div A. I simply don't have the level for it, and it would be no fun (I've already had nearly no fun in div B).
I really felt this new rule was spoiling the lower division grinders that get 2nd place in their division, from being able to go up.

Yes, it was very courageous and you guys stepped into the shark tank with no fear.
As I said, I would understand any Div B Team refusing the "honor" of getting circle-stomped in A. Not because all the players in A are toxic pieces of **** (there are some-to-many I guess?) but because it might damage your team and community to get constantly crushed with no chance of fighting back.

I think Kwen is advocating for a good reason, the only point of disagreement being the option for new squads to begin anywhere but the bottom Division.
Which is a perfectly reasonable argument and the only counter argument being, that some new teams will eventually stomp their opponents. Hence the idea to place them higher to begin with, if possible
To which I'd propose to allow teams to earn that spot anyway. Sign out all unexpectdly open spots, host a 1-day- league with all interested squads playing one set against each other and sorting them into the divisions accordingly.
Eligible would bei any previous second place team, teams that lost their relegation and new sign ups, purely on a voluntary basis.
Put that into a question for sign-ups, set a date, map and factions and problem solved. All of that relying on there being open spots higher up anyway.

That way all interested teams get a chance and new teams can earn their place, just like everyone else does.

You do beome the laughing stock of an entire divison of teams that can replace s-tier players with s-tier players if they have holes open. Talent attracts talent.

Also getting 5 straight losses and humiliated into your entire team being spawn killed might make some players lose interest in the game.

Possibility to fight for a free slot instead of automatically assigning teams lower in the table is super idea.
This way nobody loses. Strong teams that come back to the game won't spoil the fun for others

It is unworkable

I am more than a little fed up of people with no inclination to put any of their own time into admining suggesting ideas that involve the admins in a lot more work to little or no purpose.

When someone has lied about what happens, and what is intended to happen, misrepresented the responses by the admins and simply ignored anything that cannot be twisted to fit his slanderous accusations, there is no good faith there.

If Nova wants to host a one day league within the three days between sign ups closing and the new season begining AND then go on to make all the division threads in time, I say go for it.

There is no need to continue this discussion, in this thread or this group.

It's perfectly fine to voice any suggestion or opinion here, and to defend them, but any attacks on admins as individuals are beyond unacceptable.

Aeronwen and Ikea put a huge amount of effort into running this tournament for everyone to enjoy and do not deserve any form of abuse. If you want to suggest changes, this is the place for it, but to be clear, they are suggestions, and do not have to be implemented. To reiterate, suggestions are welcome, but keep it constructive. Anything unconstructive or against the rules will be removed outright as stated by Aeronwen earlier today.

Please do not continue to derail this thread outside of it's purpose.

I'd say this discussion moved from suggestions to something salty already, and you can't get anything from this. Let's just appreciate the effort of the admins who kept the game alive for 5 BEASTS, even if you don't agree with the latest changes.

Honestly stop insulting beast admins all the ****ing time, Ikea and Aeronwen ( pardon me if there are more ) are doing it for free,in their own time, they are actually doing something for the community unlike you ,if it wasnt for them all we could do in BL would be circle jerk on random skirmish.
