My friends,

I need your help. I want to upgrade my computer system cos MB is a bit lame with battlesize 120-150, even with all performance tricks of the trade.  :???:

So when you use battlesizer can you please tell me whats your max size and computer specs to stay smooth? I would be very interested in a system that can run size 200 with 1680x1050 res. Also I wonder if the MB engine get boosted rather from RAM or CPU power..?

If you want you can simply quote this:

Battlesize:
graphics card:
Resolution:
CPU:
RAM:

Thanks for your help!

I'd suggest CPU Power as well, though I think it's not that resource hungry.

What you should take a look at with high battle sizes is Graphics memory.

At DX9 with Graphical Enhancement and 220 Battlesize you'll probably get crashes. aim for 1GB VRam at least.

For me:

CPU: E8200 @ 3.6GHZ
Ram: 4GB @ 1080
GPU: HD 4850/512MB @ 700/1050

Battlesize 200, 1680x1050 no AA and only 10 or so Corpses to avoid VRam overload&crash

Battlesize: 150
graphics card: 7950gt
Resolution:1280 x that other number I never remember
CPU: 2.7ghz dual core AMD
RAM: 4GB 800mhz

Other: Max graphics, AA 2, DX9, Pixel Shading

I prefer to have a decent sized battle with great graphics. Also, I use the graphic enhancement mod. It truly makes the game so much better. It looks the way the game does in Mount and Blade Warband.

Battlesize: 300
graphics card: 2x8800GTX in SLI
Resolution: 1920x1200
CPU: E8500 @4.2ghz
RAM: 4GB @1900mhz

Graphics:  Everything full blown, 4xAA & all the scaling settings pushed to the right-most position, also the 3rd party enhancements to the engine too.

I did find that if you left unlimited corpses set it'd be problematic and crash during massive battles though once they really start to build up, especially sieges where it'd be common for a thousand to die over its course so I leave that at 40.  During situations where I'm able to look at a large concentration of units all at once like the siege choke point the FPS could drop as low as 30 but otherwise its pegged at 60.
