THIS IS A MINI MOD

Well it was a while since i made a mod, though this is a small one. I was bored so i made some scenes for my personal usage and such blah blah blah...
I wasnt going to release it to public but anyways. This is for people who are bored and want to have a quick fight.

Mod: Battlemode

Includes:

5 new scenarios:

Beach Landing
Cold Ridge Ambush
Field Of Blood
And
Last Bastion

Some troops to fit the scenarios.

There are probably alot of bugs and youre free to point them out.

Note: Dont even try going to campaign mode, it wont work, trust me.

This mod was pretty fun but on the last battle did you get the troops from a lord of the rings mod or something?

This is my first impressions:
Beach landing: I think the battlefield needs to be larger, as the spikes around the beach really get in the way when you're trying to maneuver, and you hit an invisible wall when you go too far. I'm either really bad at commanding men in small battlefields, or my forces are horribly outnumbered; it's hard to tell without the battle screen. By the way, was I supposed to be attacking here? And were there supposed to be peasant women on my side?

Cold Ridge Ambush: I can't really say much about this one, as my frame-rate dropped to about 5 regardless of my settings. My forces won by a large margin though. I like the terrain, although I couldn't see much of it.

Smoke 'em out: I had a horse in a siege! Bestest siege battle ever! Although a little too easy, but I had a horse in a siege! Believe me, that siege tower couldn't get there fast enough.

Field of blood: This was a very satisfying battle, if a little too easy. Even on 100% difficulty, we wiped them out with minimal effort. Nice terrain though.

Last Bastion: I hate siege towers. I wanna kill stuff, not wait around for a slow moving tower. /rant
That said, I really liked the terrain. The dead bodies really added to the effect, although I was confused to why there were orcs on my side. Were the teams accidentally reversed? And was this the first mention of orcs? Because I don't recall seeing them in any of the other battles. I also noticed that the troops were unable (or unwilling) to enter or exit certain areas. Notably the left battlements (facing towards the walls), and the courtyard. This allowed the enemy archers to pummel my men, but it also caused them to moonwalk.

None of the end of battle reports show the correct stats, oddly enough (not that it really matters).

I hope none of this comes off as being harsh, as I really enjoyed this. I'd recommend dropping the siege towers and expanding Beach Landing scenario, but this is shaping up to be quite enjoyable. ^.^

The field of blood and ambush are meant to be easy. You command an overpowered guys wich 1 hit kills the opposing warriors. And the captians are supposed to be bosses... The cold ridge has maybe to many ppl no?

I can expand the beach landing... shouldnt be to hard

The smoke 'em out isnt a remade scene.

Last Bastion: Well i wanted to try do Helms deep, so what?. And yeah there are somebugs with the wall, ill se if i can fix em. And you should see the ugly faces of the orcs! They cant be seen while the helmets are on so good but they look ugly. And youre attacking the deeping wall so it only made sense you had orcs on your side.

Glad you liked it.

Possibly, though it might be the weird bug that kills your FPS in some battles if the scene has too many trees and a slope. It's an odd bug, and I've never found a work around for it.

But it has a horse, and is therefor ultimately awesome.

It could use a horse too. ^.^

I was just a bit confused by the story. One moment I'm fighting an evil warlord, the next I've got orcs. I guess the forces of good are an equal opportunity employer.

Forget the story of moroth and the likes, it was an earlier mod i scraped and "built" up this one.

Well i just fixed the bug with the walls, it was because the walls are different castles, so they got stuck in castle a's wall.

Thanks Rath0s.

u should put ladders for the last bastion if u really want it to be helms deep, and u should curve the ramp goin up to the gate, and give it wooden doors, no a porticullis, the battles were way to easy though

Yeah it was kinda ment to be easy, the 2 and 4th battle.

As for Helms Deep, thats pretty much how i see it, i dunno why, but ill try to curve it.

If you are trying to do Helms Deep then i have a few suggestions. First you should rename the ors to Uruks or something. And second you should add a whole bunch of Uruks or orcs.

If you haven't noticed, the defending army is made entirely out of Rohan units.
I downloaded it this morning, but I forgot to post feedback. Love all of the battles, and GASP siege with a horse! Instead of waiting for them to put the siege tower, I just jumped with my horse from the walls and started cutting down those bastards. And the Helm's Deep is amazing, I especially liked how you recreated the stuff inside the walls. And the little bit of story behind all of them is cool too. I really hope to see more mods like this...

Is Moroth actually in the last battle because i looked on the side for who who just killed and it never showed him.

Nice work Kazzan, these battles are fun! Beach Landing and Smoke 'Em Out are my favourites, but all the scenes are pretty nice. I particularly like the way on Smoke 'Em Out there is that bit of levelled ground that's been prepared for the siege tower, and the felled tree near the trebuchet, and the burning tower at the back of the castle with smoke pouring out.

I had a cool moment with Smoke, when the siege tower had lowered its ramp to the battlements and the enemy were pouring forward, I leapt from the tower to the right of the ramp. I landed on the ramp right in the midst of the attackers, then managed to force my way down the tower and charged back up again.

Oh right, sorry! Which castle is that then please? I don't think I've come across it before. Or perhaps I've just not defended it before and so not had a good look at the scene until now. Your other scenes are good though Kazzan, honest!
