I am fighting for King Leonidas... And of course because of lack of cavalry... I am hiring hippeas on the tavern and Scythian archers perhaps... And because of that they have the best infantry , first I'm using the hold this pos. Order and then move the hoplites and infantry 2x 10 paces and the cavalry fall back 10 paces 2x..... So that the archers is in the middle... But if necessary I moved my cavalry to a position that will give the enemy an element if surprise... Maybe for rear attack or flank. After that I let my archers and infantry wait until the enemy comes.. If they have cavalry they will crash in my hoplites in a phalanx formation and the cavalry will take care with the archers cause there in the rear or flank... After that let the slaughter begins.
