Ok, Hody or Merlkir, could you download this file and run it?
http://www.fenrisoft.com/storage/MnB/battlesizer_debug.zip

It should output some results in a textbox for you to copy and send to me.

I found one possibility for why it's not working for you two, though it shouldn't have been an issue. The debug app checks for that too.

¨what exactly am I supposed to do with the debug? I run it and it makes nothing. No output.

Ingolifs: yeah, works for me too of course. I just need to figure out what particular snarkyness is going on with some systems.

Nothing as in you see nothing at all come up when you run it, or nothing as in the text box in the window is empty?

You should see something like this come up when you run it:

do I have to place the debugger somewhere? when I run it from MaB directory, nothing happens. Not even any output window popping up.

No, it should work no matter where it is. Hmm. Let's take this to PM so I don't have to keep checking this topic.

Ok, with a lot of debugging assistance from Merlkir, the problem some people are having should be fixed with the new version 1.0.2.

Download it Here (v1.0.2)

The problem was related to certain language versions of Windows and required a different method of determining the path to options.dat for .800.

Too bad I forgot abotu this until the last minute, i won't be able to play M+B for a week>_<

I could do 120 without any lag's. Not any more now.. But that has nothing to do with Battlesizer. It started to crash between 150 - 180 xD.

2.08 GhZ
512MB (Ram?)

Since the options.dat path has changed again in .801, I'll release a new version in an hour or two which works with it.

Okay, the new version 1.0.4 is now released. Same download link as before.

As with M&B .800, Be sure you've successfully gotten into M&B .801 at least once before running the Battle Size Changer so that the options.dat file is created.

Besides working with .801 of M&B, this release also adds a small extra feature of displaying which version it detected in the lower left corner of the window.
So if you're running .801 and it reports a lower version detected, you've got a problem.

Hmmm.... still getting dam vertex errors . i'm useing a 256mb geforce 7600gs, and the game crashed with less than 200 men on screen  (lowest possible settings).

any suggestions?

but darn, i wan't to try a 1000 sized battle

Probably just too many men onscreen for your system to handle. You'll just have to settle for a lower battle size limit.

By the way everyone, I'll probably need to release a new version for .803 based on the changes Armagan makes for Win98 compatibility, since the Win98 problems appear to be due to the location of the configuration files.

I doubt it. I only have a GF 5900 myself and limit battles to 60 or so.
