Greetings gents, I just came upon a siege that ended mostly like Thermopylae, of course not Greek vs Persian stuff but it seems to fit the bill.
Background
After capturing Curaw from the Nords, I've been crowned as the King of a small city-state. Now, everyone decided to go all HERP DERP and send all of Caldaria at me and my only fief. The only faction that wasn't fighting me was the Sarrind Stultanate due to a non-aggression pact.
I managed to capture a castle near Curaw from the Vaegirs, however I had no lord to grant it to so it was left ungarrisoned. After the conquering of the castle I return to Curaw to try to recruit some mercenaries for the next assault. When I'm done recruiting I get the notification that the castle is under siege, as any M&B would do, I galloped over to the castle. Little did I know was about seven Vaegir war parties, two Khanate parties, a few Swadian parties, and three Rhodok war parties that all accumulated to about 1,200 to 1,300 men. I only had about 220 defending the castle..
Overall Tactic
Seeing this, my plan was to try to kill as many troops as possible to try to weaken these guys' armies as much as I can, so when I regain my numbers I can pick them off. To accomplish this I held my troops up at the walls, making a shield wall to prevent any missiles while killing any invaders. Unfortunately, a plan never comes to motion when it comes to me. I saw a lot of yellow and red combat messages in the beginning of the siege so I decided to just charge my troops. They pushed back the defenders to the walls and formed sort of a blood clot at the wall, picking off every 30 men to 2 allied deaths. Of course the enemy AI had to follow suit and just tunnel it's troops right into the clot.
Because of that tactic the AI decided to employ, my troops managed to kill about 600 troops on the first day while suffering minimal casualties compared to them. However, all good things must come to a end. The next day the AI smartened up and threw down some archers into the fray, picking off my troops. A broken segment of the wall didn't help either, instead of clotting against the wall, my troops exited the walls and got themselves massacred. We lost that fight but I at least had the oppurtunity to slice off half of Caldaria's troops.

Thoughts?
P.S. Look at Day 1's kills on the enemy's side.
