*drools*

If I were to manage to get this game in the near future, I would probably go for a Polish deck/unit.

America is armed and ready to glass this world ten times over soviets. Deactivate your missiles and we will do the same.

I forgot to post my NATO deck I will use if needed

RP reason: The Canadian Taskforce retreated to the Netherlands to regroup and meet up with reinforcements. Canada is pushing for war against the USSR.

Logistically this wouldn't make sense, especially given wartime conditions.
Logistically it would. The Canadian taskforce was sent there to aid the NATO presence. We suffered heavy casualties in the fighting, and we went to the Netherlands (one of Canada's close allies) to rendezvous with reinforcements brought by the RCN and RCAF and to pick up new supplies. Canada also wanted to distance itself from the fighting, slightly. It makes perfect sense.

Fulda to the Netherlands is about 300 miles. I'd be surprised if a military unit could get there within a day, have any R&R, and be back to fight the next day.

Philadelphia Project. The truth is out there...

What does invisibility have to do with this again? I mean, you could get there faster because you could sneak past the enemy, but you'd probably have someone crash into you.

Well I was more referring to the fact that it was also supposedly an experiment on teleportation.

Teleportation?

The story I heard was that it made a ship invisible or something by accelerating its particles.

Actually, Canada has missed two or three days of fighting as I recall. We'll be back on the third of fourth. Also remember, all of my soldiers are in vehicles. They'd probably move between 50-100 Miles-per-hour so that's a 3-6 hour journey. That leaves lot's of room for RnR and whatnot.

I just think it's a lot more sensible to imagine that the Canadian taskforce simply relocated to Frankfurt, which logistically and strategically would be more feasible than anywhere in the Netherlands.

Oh, boy!

Anyway, when will be next...something? So far I've played just one 1v1.

Nah. Frankfurt isn't on the coast, and most of Canada's supplies likely would've come from the RCN.

If supplies is the issue, there's bound to be sufficient stockpiles with/before any given deployment and they don't necessarily need to go to the coast to get them, Canada itself would certainly give supplies to NATO, and only a fraction of it would be issue that only is used with Canadian equipment, but the vast amount of general supplies needed would be gained from a general NATO reserve. Also all supplies are held in storage and have supply lines, it's certainly more efficient to be in a port, but the supplies gained from not using supply lines into Germany would be lost if you transported you men back and forth from port to the Fulda Gap.

Well like any sort of supposed supernatural occurrence there's always several theories as to what it was supposed to be.

What. How would the supplies be lost. They would just go to the American and British forces still there. It matters little though anyway because the Canadians went to the Netherlands and it was a journey that was easily achieved in a half a day of travelling.

Anyways are we playing tonight? I might return again tonight. If I don't end up playing Arma 3 with someone again

If your vehicles have a maximum speed of 50mph, they cannot travel at 50mph all day.

I had a meeting tonight and not many people were on earlier, so let's shoot for something Thursday, even if that falls out we will most certainly have something Friday.

That's not their maximum speed. That's pretty much travelling at a leisurely pace.
