Greetings folks! I am here once again to announce the first historical Deluge event of this year, the Battle of Berestechko!

DATE OF EVENT: Saturday June 11th, 2022., 18:00 / 6 p.m. BST - British Summer Time (19:00 / 7 p.m. CEST - Central European Summer Time)

PLACE OF EVENT: A 200-slot server will be set up specifically for the event, under the name "Berestechko". Ask the organizers for the event password.

BACKGROUND:
The Battle of Berestechko (Bitwa pod Beresteczkiem / Битва під Берестечком) was a battle of the famed Khmelnitsky Uprising, fought between the forces of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Cossack Hetmanate, the latter aided by the Crimean Khanate. It took place in the province of Volhynia, between 28 and 30 June 1651. It is regarded as one of the greatest battles of the 17th century as an estimated 250,000 men clashed on the battlefield. Historically, the battle ended in a decisive Polish-Lithuanian victory despite being outnumbered. However, the Cossack uprising was far from over, and it would escalate into a bloody civil war that brought death and destruction upon Ukraine and Eastern Poland.

EVENT VENUE:

• The event will last between 60 and 90 minutes.
• The event will consist of the following two phases on two separate maps:
  • Battle (covers the 1st and 2nd day of the actual battle) – Battle mode (3 rounds, max. 15 minutes per round, no player respawns),
  • Assault of the Cossack-Crimean camp (covers the last day of the actual battle) – Domination mode (1000 tickets, max. 30 minutes, fight for the domination of five flag points, player respawns enabled based on tickets at the spawn or at the captured flag points).

RULES:

• No chat spamming, flaming, insulting, trolling, ramboing, excessive teamkilling or any other offensive behaviour towards the players and the admins.
• During the event, all players must follow the orders of the event organizers and admins.
• Troops do not have to follow line infantry or formational behaviour, but please pay attention to sticking close to your troop.
• No reloading in charge (RiC).
• No ramboing, if your entire troop has perished but you stayed alive then you must join another troop immediately.
• If you wish to participate, you are required to pick from among the several CONTINGENTs below. Depending on the size of your clan/regiment, you may pick more than one contingent, but only if you are sure that you can get enough people to fill in the required slots.
• Note that randoms/pubs (people without a clan/regiment) may also partake, but they have to abide by the following rules:
  • Must play as an infantry troop (ergo no horses),
  • Must join the ranks of a clan/regiment when in combat.

• No chat spamming, flaming, insulting, trolling, ramboing, excessive teamkilling or any other offensive behaviour towards the players and the admins.
• During the event, all players must follow the orders of the event organizers and admins.
• Troops do not have to follow line infantry or formational behaviour, but please pay attention to sticking close to your troop.
• No reloading in charge (RiC).
• No ramboing, if your entire troop has perished but you stayed alive then you must join another troop immediately.
• If you wish to participate, you are required to pick from among the several CONTINGENTs below. Depending on the size of your clan/regiment, you may pick more than one contingent, but only if you are sure that you can get enough people to fill in the required slots.
• Note that randoms/pubs (people without a clan/regiment) may also partake, but they have to abide by the following rules:
  • Must play as an infantry troop (ergo no horses),
  • Must join the ranks of a clan/regiment when in combat.
