So encumbrance governs weapon speed?I thought it was just athletics skill that was governed by encumbrance.That's nice to know.Now we need encumbrance for horses so that armor worn by player reduces the horse's stats.

No it doesn't. It just seems that way when you have a naked man violently thrashing his axe about.

I know,I tested this and there is no perceivable difference.The benefit from being raw is that you have faster movement speed and so you can back away from attacks...time when to start your swing with heavy weapon and head back in.Its pretty fun and when its in heat of battle feels really good.

Ah I remember a lot of that video. Even the part when I go hit in the head with the axe(Curse you nord scum!). I think battle mode is the funnest because you all spawn at once so you can move together and use more tactics as a group. Also the gold system work better in battle mode.

Battle mode is defintaly fun, and the guys on vent have really shown how tactics can work, if u can get the rhodoks on horse back to beat the nord's what 12 to1 it defintatly shows the power of tactics. i wish we could do the fight clubs again would help me to get better styo and them keep owning me with those damn sabers lol need some one on one time to see how ping affects how i fight.

the beta can be really frustraiting at times but im still enjoying it alot i hope the next patch helps fix some of the bugs and faction balances <nord ftw>

Might I refer you to the fighting practices of the Celts during the time of Carthage and Rome...many fought naked.  Similarly, many Germanics fought only with trousers on....and that is also much of the idea behind being a berserker.
