Battanian Highborn

I had to start my game a few times because of corrupted save files, the one thing i noticed that while it is random where i can recruit the Battanian Highborn nobles, it is always randomised between villages, i can not recruit them in cities. To me this makes no sense as i would expect to find highborn in cities / castles rather than villages.
So my question is: did anyone find any Battanian highborn troops in cities?

Now that you mention it I don't think I've ever seen Highborn Youths in cities. They're always in villages.

I also noticed they tend to be fairly rare. It feels odd that my Battanian army has almost no archers when the Battanian faction is supposed to be built on the backbone of their excellent ranged troops.

True, this is a bit of a weird situation though, i mean the backbone of their army should be archers so archers should be less rare. the only problem is that all their archers are nobles and it would be very weird if nobles would outnumber the peasants

You'd think they would have a commoner variant for cheap archers at least. Top tier archers would come from the highborn but the bulk of your archers would be hunters and the like.

As is my super elite Highborn archers tend to get shredded by commoners who simply have more men with bows than I do.

i agree they do need a common archer troop. for now all we can do is set our melee units a bit more forward in a shieldwall, let them function as arrow fodder.

Yes!!! That is exactly what Battania needs.

I was playing my last playthrough as Batania and while is true that they're kind of rare when you find a village that has them they usually come in packs of 4-5 and warriors (the tier after youths) are pretty common,I didn't really had much of a problem recluting them and much less training them at least 50-80 of them (depending on my capacity at that moment)

It's the same with every factions elite troops.
That is true, although every faction (as far as I know, correct me if I’m wrong) has archers, cavalry and infantry. I agree that the high born should be as rare as they are, but the problem is that Battania has NO commoner archers, where as they should have a commoner archer line in the main tree.
