Bastard Sword 1h Penalty

I've read several times that Bastard Swords get a damage penalty when used 1handed. Can anyone tell me how high this penalty is exactly (%)?

Either 25% or 35%. I'm not sure anymore.

Pretty sure it's 35% and it's not just for bastard swords.  I think there are a couple other types of weapons you can use with one or two hands and the penalty also applies to any two-handed melee weapon used while mounted.

Just be aware, the speed bonuses you'll receive from being mounted usually far outweigh any penalties.

How about pure 2h swords? Like "Sword of War". When mounted you only use 1 hand to swing it. Do you still get a penalty...?

Yes, you still use your two handed skill though.
