In my defense, i never visit most politics thread except the events one (Like Ukraine, Syria and such).
So most of his politco posts remain unseen by me.

I meant in general. Llamb is like the mod teams grizzly veteran detective who doesn't care about playing by the rules and the only use he has for the book is to beat scum upside the head with it. He's been around long enough to remember how things used to be, when the cold hard hand of justice ran the streets.

I find a general warning to no-one in particular is usually enough to get people to stop acting like cretins. At least, a general warning is pretty effective in on-topic. Granted, I haven't followed the thread in question (nor do I care to) but if people are picking on each other, or generally just being giant douchebags, why shouldn't there be a warning? I made a similar one myself a few days ago in the... um... well, one of those "what made you X today" threads. I forget which one. They tend to blend into each other.

How so?

Because no one was picking on anyone (with the exception of a single post from PC, and I'd hardly call a single post picking on someone), and no one was acting like a cretin / douchebag. It's not like a large number of posters jumped into the thread to pick on someone - PC and Saladin simply made a few comments, mostly to each other.

Personally, I was interested in seeing the outcome of that discussion. Seeing an Admin put it down for a contrived and unjustified reason is disappointing. Hence the  . If people are picking on someone or acting like cretinous douchebags, then by all means a general warning is appropriate. From my perspective that was clearly not the case.

On a second note, handing out warnings to people that continued to act like douchebags is perfectly acceptable. Handing out (or threatening to hand out, since I think Aust's warning was removed) warnings to people who honestly and politely question the legitimacy of a general warning...

The bull**** bickering between Anthropoid and Mage. Next person that posts about it gets a time out.

...is similarly disappointing.
