Resolved BannerlordGameKeys.xml Bug

The file C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs\BannerlordGameKeys.xml
shows keyboard settings that are different that my in-game settings. I want to use the settings in my file. How do I fix it?

For example, in the game, up,down,left,right are w,s,a,d, respectively. In the file BannerlordGameKeys.xml, up,down,left,right are e,d,s,f.

I see that the default file BannerlordGameKeys.xml uses the XML code <KeyboardKey>E</KeyboardKey> and the original XML code in my BannerlordGameKeys.xml file was <Key>E</Key>.

Are you sure you hit done after changing the settings in game? Can you send us the .XML file through upload.taleworlds.com site with your username and the URL of this thread in the description?

I'm not changing the settings in game. I stopped playing Bl in Nov. 2020. I came back last week and noticed in game that all my keyboard settings were reset, probably during one of the patches. However, the file BannerlordGameKeys.xml shows keyboard settings that are different that my in-game settings. I want to use the settings in my file. I'm asking how to fix it.

I've also discovered that Bannerlord does NOT read from the file "BannerlordGameKeys.xml" but stores values elsewhere. I can edit the XML file all day long, but the changes never reflect after I launch the game. So wondering where the keyboard settings are stored....

Can you try changing the "<Key>E</Key>" part on the .XML file to this and try again: <KeyboardKey>E</KeyboardKey>.

I tried again. It still doesn't work because of the other bug I mentioned below.
