In Progress Bannerlord works ONLY on 1.8.0

Summary: My game runs ONLY on 1.8.0. Previously i played on 1.7.0, but some time ago steam downloaded small update to Bannerlord. Since this i can't launch game (notification "application faced a problem") on any other version then latest. I tried anything, including deleting bannerlord folder in documents.

OS: Win 10
GPU: RX 5700XT
GPU Driver Version: 22.8.1
CPU: I7 10700KF
RAM: DDR4 32gb

If you're having troubles playing on older versions of the game then don't listen to people who tell you to reinstall the game, or update to a newer version for to then downgrade. They have misunderstood the problem, and it won't work(oof even CM Callum who locked the thread with a non-working...

We are aware of this issue. Below is the known workaround that will fix the issue for now:

Fix for the update breaking older versions:
This is caused by the language_data.xml files added in the update. If you remove them from Modules/CustomBattle/ModuleData/Languages/XX, Modules/SandBox/ModuleData/Languages/XX, and Modules/StoryMode/ModuleData/XX, it will work again. (XX means all language folders present)I recommend using command prompt:
(Insert your game path if different)
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules"
Press Enter
del language_data.xml /a /s
Press Enter
Done
