Hi Taleworlds and all bannermaniac,

first sorry for my poor English!

I have one idea how to the improve game regarding weapons and equipment. Basically, from the first mount and the blade, I was quite irritated, that the weapons and armors do not have a degree of endurance. Practically as soon as you got the best sword or armor, so you were not tempted to change the equipment. Add durability of weapons and armors please. Weapons and armors player should be can repair, but equipments after repair will los some stats, or weapons and equipement will downgrade to lower level.

What you, about this?

Best regards
Molnija

Yeah it would be cool if after a couple of battles in which you get knocked out or take a lot of damage your armour could become "cracked" or your sword "blunt". In the same way that horses can become "lame" after going down in battle.

What me, about this?

It's a solution for a problem that does not exist.
Good you.
What me about this: every time a game has tried this, it ended up as annoying busywork (Fallout 3, Oblivion).
Why? Because it's a negative mechanic that forces you to perform regular dull tasks if you don't want to be punished. A bit like a nagging wife and nobody wants that in a game.

I actually loved this system in both games and was actually really angry with Bethesda for removing weapon durability from Skyrim and Fallout 4. It gave smithing a purpose outside of just creating armor or weapons (oblivion) and made it so you had to salvage for guns of the same type for their spare parts it made it feel like you were actually a scavenger in a post apocalyptic world that had limited resources to work with (fallout 3). These systems in my personal opinion added a layer of depth and realism and while some may consider it to be tedious, I never found the system to be annoying at all but rather something that contributed greatly to my enjoyment of both games.

Well then go back to play to those RPG annoying games. In a tactical or strategic game where it's already quite the cancer (a lot more than it should be) to farm your stuff before fighting i don't want to see this kind of annoying behavior that adds micromanagement for absolutely nothing.

Oh i hope in the next update each arrow shot will cost money and needs to be in the inventory! Yeah that would be the next request of the same time and would improve the game SO MUCH >.<

Lol. I didn't say that I was advocating for durability to be introduced into bannerlord, chill out. I was merely responding to MadVaders comment regarding how people felt about the repair system in Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

I have 1200+ hours in bannerlord, i'm not going anywhere.

This would be good but also really tedious to look after. I would like them to add it, but also add a repair item feature for Smithing, and allow us to craft armour, helmets, and shields as well.

I unironically love the fact that your post and signature look like a bunch of big neon adverts.

BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIIIIG CITY, THAT'S WHERE I GOTTA GOOOOO
hahaha.
I just wanted to point out that in the thread I mentioned there was talk of the topic.
I do not spam indiscriminately, simply since in a given thread that concerns a certain topic I would end up responding similarly to what I write in my threads, I think it is not inappropriate to insert the link.

Or you could sum up your argument in a few sentences, but no, you have to advertise your walls of texts and hurtcpus at every opportunity. People just get annoyed with this and someone these days may make a parody out of it.

 Love this.

I didn't find it funny to have to carry around spare parts in form of redundant guns in Fallout 3, as the carry weight was limited. Maybe you were very young when you played those and more prone to uncritically accept whatever the game threw at you. Also, in both games, the durability system messed with my OCD. How do you walk around with weapons at 98% and not think about it?

Lol. It would irritate me, as well.

It is driving me mad currently that I can't even play, because my siblings keep spawning in with most of their skills and attributes missing. I have reported it and they are investigating. Hopefully it will get patched soon and I will be able to get into the single player game again.

NO

I hate weapon/armor durability in games. In some survival games it can, sort of, make sense but in a game like this it's just a terrible idea. I can't see TW doing this but if they did I would mod it out asap.

NOOOOO!!! The lower stats after repair is a terrible idea and makes no real world sense. Blades can be reforged and even strengthened. There is no reason why a repaired blade should be terrible or worse.
