After the absolute disaster that was Rome II I made it a vow to myself never to pre-order a game again.

But...

Mount & Blade transcends this pledge. First of all I want a physical copy, I have my Warband copy with the sleeve and it would be awesome to have Bannerlord beside it after all this time. If there is a collectors edition, I'll whore myself out to Taleworlds the moment I see it.

Nothing transcends this pledge for me now, not even Bannerlord.

Hitman: Absolution got me vowing never to pre-order again (it wasn't bugged, it was just crap!), but I broke my vow for Rome II: Total War. And after that, I'm NOT breaking it again.

The only way I'll shell out money for Bannerlord before the full release is if there is some form of Early Access (and the price is reduced accordingly).

After playing native I hope as Bannerlord to including companions's descriptions of places connected with them because provide lore, also culture-specific music for exemple you heard tabla, drums and sitar in Aserai, bagpie and flutes in Battania, lyre and mandoline in Empire. Are chances to have crossbow and Rhodok tribes, latter maybe due to lore because as they exist 200 years before Warband and are integral part of Vlandia and Swadia before rebel and become hard-fighting republic. I believe as Zendar will be included in game

I personally I consider as I will buy retail because I'm a bit classical, also Bannerlord is only game post-2010 which I will purchase because I've already wonderfull moments in Warband and I trust Taleworlds so much than any game company

so you saying you only play games from <2010, witch means you havent played the other MB-extended titles (MBF&S, VC, Carribean!, NW), or any other titles from the last 8 years? That is a interesting choice

or did you mean something else?

I like old titles because I'm a bit different, all my games excepted Warband, are from late 90s and 2000s. I've played MBF&S and Viking Conquest, latter I will treated as a expansion pack than game

On-topic

Remember as we must think only game-wise opinions because is stupid in Mount&Blade series to be a peacefull lord or lady living only in his/her castle with spouse and children

we dont know how deep and/or fun it will be the management aspects, economic aspects, trading, questing, enterprises, etc. So maybe a peaceful character (lord or not) can still make for a fun campaign. Or maybe they will be there just to keep us busy between battles (the actual fun part). Time will tell

I like to role-play campaigns in Warband because is a rewarding experience due to fielding large armies and winning money hunting bandits and sell their equipment, also in Bannerlord we can role-play how a man uniting Empire or as a Vlandian knight which wish only to loot and raiding Battania for money, a good balance between fun and realism. Graphics are a improved version of that of Viking Conquest, awesome and detailed. I'm happy as Bannerlord will have strategy parts, only reason for which I love Mount & Blade games

But we must realistically as Bannerlord will be released in 2019 or probably 2020, also regarding my opinions as I not playing post-2010 games but Viking Conquest is exception because I don't RPGs like Skyrim and Kingdom Come Deliverance even and modern strategy games as CK2 and Warscape-era Total War, because I don't care for graphics but I like only M&B series currently including upcoming Bannerlord. Return at opinions about Bannerlord

I wish as Taleworlds keep spirit of Warband on their new engine with new AI and features, they will keep their good balance of RPG and RTS elements

Anybody with the willpower to not preorder or buy this on the first day, I respect you. I havent preordered a game since around the time Bannerlord was announced, and this game will be the first since then. I simply see no possibility that I won't enjoy it.

Yes it was. Bannerlord isin't the only game in the world. While you wait for reviews and gameplay videos to see if Bannerlord is actually going to not be a dissapointment you can play the hundreds of other games that are going to be released in the couple years ahead.

Re-read the post. He didn't say he hasn't played other games, just pre-ordered

Well for starters you shouldve just said that rather than leaving such an odd, aloof comment. But yeah, that doesnt exactly change anything. Such a game I will have to at least try no matter what the reviews say. Hard to imagine it being a total disappoint considering what we've seen already anyway.

I will force myself into liking it if it's bad. It's been too much waiting to be disappointed

I am hardcore fan of real-time and grand strategy games and I not like RPGs but Warband and Bannerlord were exceptions because including RTS elements which means as I not will playing other games

In this thread was silence

I believe as graphics in Bannerlord not will be demanding as that of Kingdom Come Deliverance
