Bannerlord is in the worst state ever.

We're a good 10 months in since a lot of us got in touch with bannerlord for the first time. Needless to say the game was far away from being perfect or running smooth in any way back then. However, with the release of patch 1.5.3 this changed a lot, not in the good way I must admit. Currently I'm getting packet losses all the time. The symbol isn't even going away anymore - Surely this has happened before too, but right now it is beyond playable. It feels like you just have joined an Asian server. Block delays, attack delays, ghost hits, teleporting players, including my own character, missing animation, ridiculous lag-fest-a like ranges you find yourself getting killed too - you name it. It is all back and even worse than ever before. Even the game itself runs with a good 20 fps less than before. This is not a rant in any way- im just trying to understand how and why we even went 5 steps back since the closed beta (which performed so much better compared to the current state). Am I the only one feeling that way? All in all I was really looking forward for a somewhat worthy successor of Warband but this, in it's current version, is so bad that it exceeds all expectations and fears I could have made up in my mind.
 
If we're talking servers, the devs admitted in the forums that something seems to be off with the provider and looked into fixing it.

So far no update came to that iirc.

Regarding MP in general it's a question what you make out of it.
 
I think we should go back to our fast combat, keep the quick response to block , but faster swing.

need more game mode, where player can focus on OBJ like in Siege, CTF, King of the Hill or Domination (control 3 flag) And not worried about their K/D. People that grind of course their going to be good, the other might get intimidated and player stop showing up. nobody want to keep dying .... plus chat box was too toxic at time. I wish I can turn it off in settings

If we go back to fast combat new players will never want to play the game (Warband spamfest ala gore). Also splitting upp the already small player base into more gamemodes is exactly what TW shouldn't do at the moment.
 
Not splitting into smaller but keep the max server player counts different game mode

Packet loss also occurs periodically. But even without this icon, the game still slows down. Very often when using upper attack, the weapon stuck in the air for a few seconds then i get weird animations. It is also strange that on a duel server the connect is sometimes normal, while in a skirmish it is almost always disgusting, and it not always depend by ping
 
bannerlord is very close to death in the same way war of the roses was, trash unresponsive combat with classes. they literally copied it and expected it to take off lmao, callum is bad at his work and so is the MP team, they cant balance anything. just wait for mods.
 
Idk why would they put a pre custom class system and not one where you can choose what to equip. Seriously its not hard to. Its like they are going 180 degrees from what the consumers want

When BL had 100,000+ players on we had a chance to revive MP

Can you two think harder about what bannerlord really needs instead of tossing the devs salad all day. trying to undo all the work the mp community has spent the last year doing for the sake of what? Having slow animations that look nice and are easier to block? It has taken so many people begging TW just to get the delays reduced to what they are now so we can have some semblance of a decent combat system and its still not even good enough.

Im not even sure if the block delay was added intentionally, idk if its to lower the skill gap or make it easier for ppl to integrate.
There will be some discrepancy between the old players who would like a fast paced, efficient combat system vs new players who would like an easier way to hop in.

the block delay is there for better animation blending, its purely visual

Slow combat caters to a smaller audience. Nowdays games are much more fast paced. It just makes no sense to have a slow paced game for multiplayer when the market for competitive or multiplayer game in general is dominated by fast paced games.
