I decided to change the rules a bit, we won't use a classic pick up system but we'll use auctions instead check the thread and tell me what you guys think about it.

Auctions are a cool idea, there was one in Mercenaries just a few weeks ago. I don't think they had a fixed starting price though, it was usually set by the first bidder. This way prices become relative as the budgets get spent(in later stages even good players cost less because team budgets are becoming smaller) and it rewards captain knowledge about the community where they can maybe pick up some bargains.
