For once I have decided to play a game without cheats, but, whenever I do trade, It seems I always have to ctrl X because the market has no money of its own... Is there anyway to fix this?

the poor guy don't earn money by buying things
You have to wait some time then he will get new money. Travel to other merchants and look what they have. Remember where you buy expensive items...these traders get rich and will do new "investments" in your goods.
But now you know why many peasants try to pay their taxes to you with pigs and chickens and not with gold.

it took time for them to egnerate denars  think
avg they have 1400s by default

but def u not rely much on robbing from bandit weapons, they also sell like 1 denari each weapon unles su have good loot that reduce the reduced quality weapon.

the fastestw ay egtting denari is robbing caravans or ransoming (gives the highest money) and doing quest
I prefer capture any prisoner alive in my early days, dun do 'tab' glitch on lords, thx to 1257 new system tehir relation reduced after u battle them

ctrl x? why?
One can ctrl+x to place an item in the other inventory. Instead of picking up and manually dragging each item to sell it to a vendor, one can just ctrl+x to instantly put it in the store keepers inventory. This is a very awesome part of the game. Now you know and your wasted dragging of items is now over.

Edit:
Buy iron in Scandinavia and sell it in the Baltic states. Also, guild master quests give quite a profit. Cattle driving is easy because is 1257 they follow you. There's an easy 600 denar. Or escorting caravans. You get about 2k for one far trip but it's so worth it.

acc I know it eheh  ...I thought that ctrl x is used when merchant hasn't money and you can sell the item ...

I think by ctrl+x, Lazyman is referring to the money cheat by where you gain instant denari in the trading screen.

Yeah, guild master quests are useful in 1257 since it's possible to get quests which take you across one part of Europe to another, taking days to travel and earning a lot of money for doing so

Well the point of the thread was not how to make money, since I have no qualms in starting a war just to loot a few villages, the problem is selling the loot, since no merchant has any money  . Is there any way to control the default amount they have?

 Sorry, but I find that hilarious. So, for once you decided not to use cheats, but you cheat for money.

I do it like... The merchant owes me 7k, but he has only 2k, so I will add 5k through cheats .

You should sell the items with an interest,if you sell 7000 worth of items,
and he gives you only 2000,that means he owes you 5000 plus an
interest of 200%.That means that he should give you 21000 denaries.
If he doesn't break his legs, if he steel doesn't give you cut his fingers,
and if he still doesn't give you burn his house and sell him as a slave.
Business is business as my grandfather used to tell me before he went
to jail for extortion.

No. He tells you that he has not enough money, so he does not agree with your wish to make a contract about selling. Instead you give all the things as gifts to him. It's your fault.
I deal with the few money of the traders by buying expensive things when they don't have enough money cause I started a campaign recently without any cheating. It hurts.

You shouldn't use TweakMB till it is adapted to the revision you are using. If the trader hasn't money and you give him stuff he can't sell...not very intelligent. Because you accepted the trade for the price he can sell. All other thing is cheating. Itself giving the traders more money is money cheating. What you have to do is to went to the next trader who have a few coins and sell the goods to him. That's what trading is. If you have things that no one can pay, you have to pay it for less or you can't pay it. You can try to hold it back in inventory till some good items appears...then you can change the goods. Or you can change them for resources for your fabrics.
It nerves me, too. But I think this reflect that gold was rarely and people had to change goods instead of buying and selling with gold.

I never got into cheating so I can't compare. The game feels to easy to make money to me. You must learn the ways of trade. Some one has a guide on here about how to make money and where to buy items and sell them for max profit.
