I have several questions about becoming a bandit. Do you still gain bandit points as a vassal? Also does being a bandit prohbit the recruitment of non-bandit units from villages and cities? Strangely I am able to recruit modern infantry from most cities but not in Gashajin. I know modern infantry is available because I had recruited them before, yet the option vanished. I'd like a modern army so even as a vassal I'm wary of sacking towns. Finally is it normal that the bandit recruitment is offering hundreds of recruits at a time?
