requesting a ban for an annoying 1stRddt... 1stRddt_F33_Disgrntld

Basically, I was running away from a kill, he comes up to me slashes me once. I say "GTFO," then he comes up to me and just kills me. He says, "Woops," and, "Get Owned."

Plenty of people have been banned for one teamkill, hint hint? And I guarentee if he teamkilled you on purpose and said "whoops, get owned" you'd probably perma-ban him. Why not now?

I've never banned for single teamkills, but at most slain or kicked the offender. (Especially when they're against me.)

Once again, unless you've evidence to add, or anything of worth to add, then don't say anything at all.

The hostility is not necessary. Without the logs, and given the items (Kills and chat) between the team-kill and 'get owned', we can't be sure of exactly how long it was afterwards. As such, there is no real way to prove it until Deo comes forth with the logs. Further, once it's been proven either way, this isn't a banworthy thing anyways.

What hostility are you talking about? I've seen Gunny just straight up ban people for stuff like this...

Thomas is in the right on this one. The person in question has been a positive element in this community for at least a year. I do not remember any instance of him intentionally and excessively violating the rules. As a group, we're on good terms with him and consider him to be a friend. At worst, he probably assumed that it was harmless and that the person who made this request wouldn't give a damn. Banning him, even for a short period in this case, is not merited, no matter how you twist the facts and the logic.

As much as I dislike Reddit, I must say I've never seen anything even remotely trollish done by this particular individual. If I recall though, he is quite good on a horse. And judging by the posts above me, have you guys considered that it might all just be a misunderstanding?

Then again... it's a bit odd because Petschie said "gtfo Disgrntld" and immediately is team killed by Disgnrtld after that. I think maybe there actually might be some foul-play here. Also, I think the "whoops" might have been directed towards Petschie, but not necessarily the "get owned". Although I'm not sure who else he could have been referring to. All in all we have ourselves a very confusing situation.

Few things:

1) From any neutral admin perspective, this is one teamkill, and half the time while in a server we can't confirm intentional ones from accidental ones. Your screens lend some proof towards it being intentional, that much is true. But I generally don't ban for one teamkill no matter the case, unless I recognize a repeat offender. First time is always a slay or a kick.

2) Again with this anti-reddit attitude. People see the reddit tag and instantly, we're ****ty little trolls, when everyone knows damn well that every regiment out there has it's fair share of stupid trollish members as well. Our brigade is fairly large so if you want to take averages into account, we probably have a few more trollish members than most, but have even more well behaved and mature members as well. So my advice to you and anyone else reading this is to stop letting that reddit tag be your way to judge someone. I can just as easily do the same with you and your Marins tag. We've always been on good terms with the Marins but you don't see me rushing to a conclusion about your character based on that tag. So nut up or shut up, I know I would ban any one of my members for consistently being a douche to some other person or regiment and I know damn well Smithy wouldn't hesitate to do the same to you here.

3) Disgrntld has always been a good member of the community so it is hard to believe he would do any of this intentionally. I will however speak to him about this and make sure it won't happen again regardless.

Just to add... What does winning the map have to do with anything? If you have 11 kills, the -1 will negated. Personally, I don't care if someone is a good member of the community, I report nuisances.

If he's not getting the ban, then I'll lock this topic and will be ready to report the next A-Hole who TK's, Trolls, or Griefs.
