Balance of Power: Should There Be Another BoP hosted?

I have no objections with him cutting the game, the only thing that would be nice is to see an actual message of him saying he won't continue it. All these private conversations being thrown around is not very nice IMO.
In the end hosting or playing a BoP is a voluntary occupation and it should be no problem to quit it no matter the reason.
In this case, suspicion was mostly raised as to how active the players would be but in the end it turned out the GM/Host opted out very early.

I understand that that does not sit right considering the way that Dodes insisted to host before it was his turn but on the other hand it should not be forgotten that it is mainly thanks to Dodes that we are actually having BoPs on the forum at all. After all he was the one that hosted the first game and showed incredible dedication and speed there in the first few turns and we (the players) actually had to ask him to slow down!

I would say; lesson learned no more skipping the line. Be sad if his BoP died, but don't be hateful.

This sums it up perfectly. Pixel, it's not a "I'm right you're wrong" post, and it's not a life lesson I'm trying to get at here, it's a "let's not listen to people skipping everyone else and being able to do it because their buddies are all for it" lesson for future BoP games. Furthermore, I've already explained I don't mind Dodes quitting. I considered it in my BoP. It happens. Life either gets too rough or you just don't have the feels for it. If Dodes has extremely suicidal thoughts, that is definitely a solid excuse for not continuing.

What is wrong are his actions when he wanted to host. These are the actions that should not be repeated, whether by Dodes or by anyone else.

We've given a sufficient amount of attention to this topic, and this is the last post I'm making here. I propose letting it die.
