Baheshtur Is Gone

Now I've been around the figurative block quite a few times in this game, but this is the first time a potential companion completely failed to make it into the game. Before I get flamed for not searching blah blah blah, this is NOT after a lost battle and its NOT that he left my party. I haven't even hired him yet. I've turned on cheats to do a quick once over of all the towns that turned into a 5-over. I scoured every nook and cranny of every tavern (even found out sometimes people spawn upstairs - Bunduk and Klethi were up to something in the bed chambers of a particularly crowded inn ) but he was not among any of the denizens. I then waited a month in-game and searched again - he's no where to be found. This is really starting to piss me off, not only because I wish the game was a bit more polished, but I already have a bunch of renown that I don't want to lose having to start over.

So if you please, anyone have some interesting stories of where he could be hiding out? Or maybe a way I can edit him in to the savegame?

I have Bahestur in my party, if you are talking about that Khergit Tribesman with the brother business...

I believe I found him at Wercheg or Suno.

They can be anywhere.

Is it possible in the case of the over-crowded inn that he's trying to spawn there but finding no space? There's like 4 companions, farmer, mercenary, book merchant, ransom broker, traveler...its seriously packed. Would I have to hire some of the companions and then fire them to get him to spawn?

I don't believe so. He's probably in some out of the way tavern hiding behind a door upstairs.

I'd guess that the game doesn't always spawn every NPC somewhere in the game world every day. In that case, you'll need to wait until the tavern NPCs change for another chance of Baheshtur spawning somewhere.

i played trough games for weeks without finding that bastard! He is missing in like 2/3 of the games i play.. Maybe its just that i havent had the luck, but i like that guy and i just don't look for him. I snort every inch of grass in whole of calridia searching for him.. Sometimes he just doesnt want to be found

Yeah he's definitely not hiding everywhere...on a better note, I now know the spectacular work that went into the more unseen corners of the game world, like the 3rd story of Uxhal tavern

I guess I'll just wait longer...but its already been a month since I started searching, and none of the other companions have so much as moved.

Hmm.. I thought you could do it anytime. Oops.
You could when that feature was first introduced, in the subsequent versions it was changed so that you can only ask about companions that you'd hired before.

I was wondering this also...

I have found every companion - except Borcha!

Everytime I go to a city I look in the tavern but to no avail. I have been doing this for quite a few game months now.

Perhaps he was hung!

Ah right. I really don't check that much anymore. If I find them I take them - except Borcha who is doing me a world of ****ing good with his axe. He is killing in the masses.

Hire some of the useless companions, then fire them (strip 'em naked and sell their equipment if you're worried about the money loss.)  After a few weeks, you should find everyone.  Until the module system comes out, nobody unofficial knows exactly how companions are set to spawn, but hiring and firing seems to get things moving.
